Which treadmill would you recommend?

Good morning everybody!

I am going to get a treadmill for my birthday, but I am so confused, with all the different makers out there.
Which treadmill do you have or recommend and what are your experiences?
I don't want to spend more than $1300.

Any help would be really appreciated.
Thank you very much in advance
Kristine:)

I have the Landice L7 and love it. My husband is 6'3" 225lb and can run hard on it. It has a lifetime guarantee that you can even will to someone after you die!

I have a Trimline T335HR. I like it very much, but have only had it for a year. I purchased it in the price range that you are looking at. They have a 30 year frame and motor warrenty. There isn't much that I don't like about it. The heart rate monitor only works if you use the strap. The hand grips are inaccurate. A good place to get more information on treadmills is Treadmill Doctor. I suggest just going to different places and start running on different treadmills to see what you like best.

i have a proform 353x and i love it. it was $400 on sale after christmas last year at sears (50% off)}(

I once had a proform. Between DH & I we wore it out in a year. I put a lot of miles on it though. It was a great workout at an incline and I could put on a wireless headset, as it was noisy, and watch television or shows that I had taped. If you go cheap buy an extended warranty.

I can recommend what not to get. Don't get a Proform crosswalk. Mine broke within a year (the incline stopped working). There was a thread on here a few months ago ..you should search it. Several people posted having similar problems with their Proform.

Just what I need to hearx( . Mine will be a year old in a few months and I haven't had any problems yet. Guess I should go check out my warranty. I hope it doesn't die on me!!

I also have a Landice and my DH is 6'3" 225 lbs! I was the one that initiated us getting it as I was into running and wanted an alternative for bad weather. Once we started looking, my DH decided we should get one he could run on as well.

Landice is an excellent brand but it's not very cheap. We have had ours for 6 years now and have not had a single problem with it. It's very durable.
