I was reading about the tonique workouts and dont know which to buy, also I really want new workouts in general and dont know what to get. I heard good things about several, the new cathe, turbofire, bob harper ans someone just posted about michelle somebodus workouys I think. I really want to get leaner and more defined. Any advice on which to buy would be appreciated. I dont want to spend big bucks like I did on p90x cuz I only like a few of those workouts and have never followed the rotation ad suggested. I didnt like chalene xtreme except for the cardio workouts. My legs got bigger with the weight workouts so I stopped doing them. Thanks

Of all the workouts you mention, I enjoy the Bob Harper's and Turbo Fire's more than the Toniques. All of the Bob's are more endurance based and really get the heart rate up. The Turbo Fires are just flat out fun.

The Tonique are tough, but there is a hugh dread factor for me, since it all high reps.

I have only previewed the Michelle Dozio (sp?) Peak 10 Cardio, but that one also looks good.

If I had to pick one to purchase, it would be Turbo Fire.

I have most of these so maybe I can help. First of all, you have to think about what you like to do.

Turbofire is a lot of fun, it took me awhile to get the hang of it. But once I did, I am loving it. It is basically kickboxing on speed. The package contains 4 steady state cardio workouts, 3 Hiit (15, 20, & 25 minutes), 2 stretch workotus, and 2 band workouts.

Bob's Workouts are very different. His are more circuit training. I haven't done them all, but His "cardio" workout involves weights. His Yoga workout is awesome...I highly recommend it. You can do a rotation with his 4 DVDs, but As much as I enjoyed them and thought they were tough, I could not see myself doing a rotation with just his workouts. I would use them with other workotus...IMO.

Tonique: Iihave her first one and the Second one (which contacins 2 workouts). They both are pretty much butt and leg workouts. You start with some cardio and then you do a ton of lunges and squats. The first one has an added mat workotu, that I really like. The second one has 2 different 50 minutes workouts. She uses 2# weights in both of them for sculpting.

Michelle Dozios: I don't have hers...yet. They are on my wish list. I have heard that they are similar to intensity as Cathe's CCC, even the strength one, I believe, involves a lot of cardio.

So, think about what you klike doing, so that you don't get bored (I like variety) and your goals. If you want to slim down, them maybe Tonique and Michelle Dozios. I think Cathe's new workouts will also help with that...high reps, and lower body blast. Turbofire is just a lot of fun, and you will burn a lot of calories...I am not so sure about sculpting results. I like to do her cardio.

Anyway, good luck with your choices!! I hope I helped, and feel free to ask more questions!!

I can't speak about TurboFire or Bob Harper, but I have all three Toniques as well as the Peak 10s. I'm a fan of both instructors.

It sounds like you've made your decision, but I'll still chime in, anyway.

My favorite Toniques are #1 and the Mat WO. What I like about the Toniques is that you only need a set of light weights, and you get a helluva burn. Sometimes I don't want to drag out a high step (or regular step), band, and a whole slew of DBs or a barbell. I have the Toniques downloaded on my iPhone and I think it makes for a simple but tough l/b WO you can take anywhere. I do like to do pieces of the WO as add-ons, so the only thing I wish the WOs had were better chaptering or premix options.

Check out Sylvia's Tonique Woman Channel if you want to get a feel for her WOs: http://www.youtube.com/user/ToniqueFitness#p/u
