Which to get: HTSA or High Step Challenge?

Would appreciate recommendations on this from any of you guys.

I don't have a high step but believe a normal step can be used for both...

Cheers

I'd recommend HSC since you don't have the high step. In HSTA you do six sets of step ups and in HSC, you do two. Both are great!

Here's another vote for HSC, it's much more fun in my opinion (and the music is way better).

Just a comment about all the step ups in HTSA...I find that if I switch off between using weights and a band for the step ups, it breaks up the monotony a bit. Or, I'll sub in some squats instead. I still like HSC better though!

Hi,

I don't have HSC but I do have HSTA and I love it! It has tough leg exercises and you really sweat doing the cardio intervals. I don't know about HSC except I don't think it is as tough as HSTA. They are probably both great workouts!:)

They're both tough, although I think HSTA is a little tougher because you do endless amounts of leg presses. BUT, I find High Step Challenge to have less of a dread factor for me because the music is so much better. HSTA bothers me because she's constantly cueing to have the music sped up or slowed down, depending on what leg exercise you're doing. That drives me nuts!

My opinion:) I like both of them for different reasons.

HSTA has music that leaves much to be desired, but has really good premixes(cardio only, legs only, upper body only, upper/lower body only, legs/cardio and upper body/cardio--I think thats all). The legs/cardio premix is one of my favorites especially combined with the BC legs cardio premix or power circuit. This workout does not have much core work.

HSC has much better music and has a really nice flow to it. It also has a core segment at the end. The premixes are both "timesavers" and do not separate out different parts of the workout like cardio, legs, etc. I find this a bit irksome and have not used them yet, although I might find a use for timesaver#2, combined with some other workout.

HSC would be much easier if you have no high step. You could, however, buy just the topper and use it with risers you might already have from your regular step.

I just recently got HSC, my first high step workout, and not only do I love it, got some serious DOMS and was very surprised at how much I sweat and the number of calories burned.

Music was great, I especially love the very beginning credits and the warm up.

So there's my vote.

HTSA is harder and more challenging. But HSC is absolutely a fun workout. HTSA has 6 sets of leg presses, tough. The workout is absolutely challenging. HSC is challenging, but just a tad bit more fun. I find myself reaching for HSC more because of the fun factor, but make myself incorporate HTSA for training value.

Hope this helps....HELL get both!!!!!

Thanks everyone for your feedback.

Looks like HSC for the moment. The music issue in HTSA would drive me a bit nuts I fear.

And I'd love to get a topper but I live in the UK and the shipping and import costs are killers.

Cheers all!

I second (or 14th, I lost track...) the HSC decision. It's a really fun workout, with a lot of work involved. HSTA involves a big dread factor for me with the leg presses. I'm sick of them! But I know they work...

Anyway, HSC is really fun and quite varied. You can probably get away without the topper, although she does use it quite a bit- not just for leg presses but for cardio segments as well. HSC also has an abs segment at the end, unlike HSTA which has no abs.

Have fun!!
