which strength dvd to get?!?

I want to order one of the following dvd's...the one with power hour, mis, and body max... the slow and heavy series dvd... or the pure strength series dvd. I don't really know which one to get, I dont know too much about any of them, and I am just looking for suggestions, anyones preferences....anything!!!!! I just want an all around good strength dvd to thoroughly cover every body part. I have only done Cathe's step videos (absolutly LOVE those), I have never tried any of her strength. Thanks!

Hi Purplesky1120,

I am relatively new to Cathe compared to most of the crowd here, but I have all three dvds, and they are all good so I feel that you wont regret buying any of them, however if you are like me with minimum time on your hands and want to get in a full body strength/endurance workout at least twice a week then I would go for the power hour,Mis and bodymax dvd as it has three full body workouts and loads of mix and match possibilities.

Power hour is a all over body muscle endurance workout, Mis is a full body endurance/strength workout and bodymax is a cross training step aerobics and endurance workout, and has a circuit section in the middle, (educated crowd can chip in if I am wrong)these three workouts target all the major muscle groups in one session.

Pure strength and slow and heavy have three workouts each on dvd that work around two or three body parts a day such as chest and back, or strong legs and abs etc, so you may end up working body parts once each per week at the end of the rotation, but I suppose you could do more than one of these workouts in one day but as I said it might not be time efficent if you are like me, however I love all these workouts and this is just my opinion.

If you're starting with one strength DVD, PH/MIS/BM(an unfortunate abbreviation!) would be great because you get three types of workouts: one more endurance oriented, one that gets more into strength + endurance, and a circuit workout. I personally LOVE S&H, but that might be a good second purchase (I usually cycle my weight workouts to go through PH then to MIS, then to PS, then to S&H).

Thankyou so much for the suggestions, now that I've read more about these I think I'm leaning towards PH/MIS/BM (thanks for the abbreviation) I would like to get all the muscle groups in 2 or 3 days a week. PH seems really really awesome, very much what I am looking for. I probably will end up getting S&H eventually anyway! :7 THanks again! -Purplesky1120

I think Pure Strength is the perfect strength DVD to get if you
want to limit it to one. I started with it and didn't tire of it
for MONTHS. It's faster than S&H and slower than PH. It's just a perfect medium and the perfect workout to start off with. As you get more into it, you can add the other stuff later.

One vote for PS!

I am almost considering to wait, save up some more money, and buy the 12 pack dvd with S&H, PS, MIS/PH/BM, and Rhythmic Step/IMax/MIC! I want them ALL! lol...they all sound so fantastic. I just can't make up my mind on this one!

Power Hour+ is my most used DVD. MIS is a classic & everyone should have it; Bodymax is the ultimate rainy weekend workout & the upperbody work is a great quickie workout; & Powerhour is the funnest strength workout I've ever done.

Pure Strength or the Pyramid DVD would be my next choice.
