Cathe, I'm a 28 year old male, who's part-time job is teach hi/lo,step,kickboxing. I teach 2 classes a day (M-F)/ one hour each. My format is 45 min. cardio (incl. warm-up) and 10 mins. dumbbells and 5-10 mins abs.And I use 10 lbs dumbbells (max)in class.

I want to gain muscle... as in more muscle and definition. which I can only do in a real gym.
I can only do strength training (heavy barbells/dumbbells at time) at home. I have your all your strength videos. Could you please tell me the purpose of each video/series? PS series, BodyMax,MIS. Will I have the same results compared doing the workouts at home and at the gym?

Thanks!

Hi!

Wow, you are doing quite a bit of cardio on a weekly basis. With that amount of cardio, you will mostly need to lift heavy weights to gain and keep additional size on.

I would highly recommend the PS series for you. This series focuses heavily on selected muscle groups. It also provides greater variety and uses less reps with heavier weights to promote lean muscle gain.

As for the other tapes, MIS focuses more on muscular endurance and Bodymax focuses more on cardiovascular and muscular endurance. These tapes are fine for you to do once every other week(if you feel you would like more variety) but right now I think you should stick to PS Series to reach the goals you are looking for.

As far as a comparison for home weight training results vs gym weight training results, they are quite comparable. The only difference with weight training in a gym is that the gym will have certain machines/equipment that can provide a bit more variety for you than home workouts.

But I'm not saying that your home workouts are not providing you with the same strength results that gyms do. Its simply saying that they may not be providing you with as much variety as gym workouts are capable of.
