Which Kickboxing Workout?

I am new to Cathe. Which kickboxing workout would be best to start with? I am at an intermediate level.

I should mention I am also new to kickboxing except what is in the Firm's BSS2. I just read a review on KPC and it said for this not to be your first kickboxing w/o. What do you all think?

Kick, Punch and Crunch most definitely. You can do it! Such a motivational workout PLUS you get a bonus work out of Legs & Glutes which is no walk in the park too!

KM is slightly more blast in nature, a la the IMAX's with an extended standing leg workout at the end.

KPC is a good workout and sticks more with the kickboxing style where as kickmax as some of that, but its mostly athletic blasts drills with kickbox flavor to it. even if KPC is tough for you at first, they premixes on the dvd can give you a variety of options for shorter workouts and the workout can also easliy be modified. i had the vhs version but hope to have the dvd version for the premixes. with the new shopping cart you can actually see what premixes are on the dvd to give you a better idea of what you can do with this workout. defiently a workout you can grow with.

Another vote for "Kick, Punch & Crunch"! I'm also at an intermediate level and I found the kickboxing choreography to be very doable the first time I did it. My only initial "issue" was working up to the point where I could do the entire workout without stopping. Now that I can do all of it, I love its intensity and fun factor!

There's a brief section on KPC in the very beginning where Cathe demonstrates all the punches and kicks. I don't see any reason why you couldn't start with KPC - it's the best!

YOu will love KPC. I started with CK, which is great too but KPC is the best.

I wouldn't get KM. It's the only workout I've been disapointed in. Too much jumping and not enough kickboxing.

Let us know what you decided

KPC is awesome. The pre-mixes are great and just endless variety. If you get the DVD you get legs and glutes which is also awesome. Kickmax is not my fave. It is too slow in the beginning and then way to fast and too high impact at the end. I think everyone I know loves KPC. Go for it!

KPC definitely on DVD!!! I USE THAT ALL THE TIME!

I do the premixes on days when I want 30-40 minutes of good solid kickboxing and then can lift afterwards........or do the whole thing modified for a great 70 minute workout! So many options with this dvd! My favorite by far!

I rarely use Kick Max anymore....every once in a while I will do the leg drills portion of kick max to add on for extra leg work, but I just LOVE KPC!

I have both KPC and Kick Max, and it is true that KPC is a lot more fun. However, I do sometimes use the Kick Max DVD for its low impact premixes. Last night I did PLB before my kickboxing workout, and that was a big mistake.
