Sarah,
The Fit Test will give you your VO2 max

(as close as anyone can really get to a real VO2max)....you just have to remember to do it as soon as you wake up. I've only done it about 3 or 4 times (and I've had my HRM for over 3 years) only because I always forget to do it as soon as I wake up...LOL. I think the F11 sounds like a good deal unless you really want more bells and whistles.
What sold me on the features of my HRM was I could download all my settings (via an infrared port)and get printouts and readings from each exercise right off my computer. I have all my exercises on my polar calandar from weights to cardio. It's truly a great feature. It logs everything....counts the calories, number of exercises, times in heart rates zones... etc. It even adds up the calories expended at the end of the week and posts it on my calandar. I can compare all my IMAX 2 workouts for the past 3 years if I want. It does so much more, but as I said before..I don't use all the features (but I do love the calandar and use it daily and polar sends updates regularly).
Whichever HRM you do choose, IMO, you can never go wrong with Polar. I've never had a problem with mine and their customer service has been wonderful. I only had to send it in once for a new battery (I didn't have to send it to the dealer but I wanted to make sure it was "water safe" just in case I ever want to swim with it on...like I've ever done that or ever will

)
Enjoy!
Robin
