Which DVD to buy?

This is to be a Christmas present to me. :) Just to give a bit of background...I used to do a lot of step aerobics, and loved the intricate patterns and terrific workout. However, the local Y here leaves something to be desired, IMO, in its classes. :\ I'm overweight, and do not enjoy the high impact moves (too much bouncing and stress, you know?). High intensity, yes, but I'd rather keep it lower impact with the "option" to step it up, if I choose. Many of the routines here are such that they *can't* be modified...which means I don't do the class. :(

I'm wanting to use the step and a DVD to create a 20 minute high-intensity interval workout focusing primarily on a cardio workout. I lift weights in separate workouts 3x/week and have been using the elliptical machine and recumbent bike for my cardio. I've gotten *really* bored with both of those.

Any suggestions as to the best DVD for doing this? I would really appreciate the advice and guidance!

Thanks!

Cindy

Hi, Cindy!

I recommend the Imax 2 & Cardio and Weights DVD. It has the most fabulous premixes on it. There's a premix from C&W which has beautiful step work that would fit right into you aerobics needs and Imax itself can be done Interval 1-5 or 6-10. Each premix has warmup and cooldown stretch. It is also very modifiable, which is what I do since I have had foot troubles. Feet troubles? For the high stuff, I sub moves I love for the ones Cathe has chosen and keep it grounded sometimes forging my step altogether. Check out the video clips and see what you think!
