Which DVD bundle should I get next?

Hi Cathe,

I have done the beginner DVD series and have been borrowing other DVD's from my mother for the past few months. Shortly after completing the beginner Basic step/Body Fusion the first time I had a car accident and hurt my low back. Dr. said I can do your DVD's as long as I stop if it hurts (DUH! :+ ). Therefore, I'm running through each of the beginner's again and I'm holding my own so far.

I'm looking to purchase some new ones and want to get a series that would graduate me to an intermediate rotation while still being somewhat gentle on the back. I watched 4 day split (my supermom has it and you GO with your bad self!!) but I'm not ready for that. I borrowed her CTX prior to the accident though and could almost breathe when done so I was thinking of getting that in this purchase.

In the meantime, I'm trying to decide between Body Blast, Hardcore or Intensity series. And if I do any of these series, are there any supplement DVD's not included in these bundles that would be a must have? I looked at your rotations and they seem to have a little of everything from each series so I can't tell what is most predominant to purchase first.

Can you give me any idea what the next logical step for someone like me is? I want to buy at least two series to rotate through so that I can mix it up a bit and not get in that rut and also have a good start on the ones that appear in your monthly rotations. Also looking to stay around $350 - $400.

Thank you so much!!!
:) :)

Here's a few workouts that I think are a good next step....

-Push Pull/Supersets

-Low Impact Step/Total Body Sculpting

-Cardio & Weights/Imax 2

-Low Impact Circuit

Let us know what you decide!

Not Cathe, but have you looked at Cathe's intermediate rotation (from March '07)? That would give you an idea of Cathe's more intermediate workouts.

Also, I don't think you need to buy an entire series. It's really not necessary. IMO, you'd be better off picking and choosing appropriate level tapes from all her series to start with and then buying the more advanced ones as you progress. Some great intermediate level tapes that you can grow with include: LIC, High Step Circuit, Low Max, Body Max 2 (because of the many shorter workout premixes), Cardio & Wts (that comes with Imax 2, a more advanced, high impact workout), Push Pull/ Supersets, Butts & Guts (timesaver premix is the easiest to start w/). All of these workouts have excellent premix variety so you can take them up or down a notch as the mood strikes. Lastly, I love CTX and if your back can handle the impact, I would also recommend that one. HTH!

Chocolate IS the answer, regardless of the question.

The Low Impact Step and Total Body sculpting is just a step up from the basic step/body fusion series. You could probably transition to that easily. After that, for a set, I would get Body Blast. It is one of my favorite series. I do think that the strength workouts in this series are a more significant step up, but a little easier than some of her others, so a nice step to intermediate. Step, jump and pump; step blast; and KPC are 3 of my very most favorite Cathe cardio workouts. I think that step blast is QUITE challenging, and instead of doing the whole thing, i started with premixes to help me build up. Oh, there are tons of premixes with this set.

I cannot compare to 4 days split actually because I have not done it yet (though I own in).
