Which Cathe Step Workouts to Get...I'm New to Cathe?

Hi all,

I have read that Mega Step Blast and Cathe's Wedding tape are good for those new to Cathe stepping. Can someone briefly explain these 2 workouts? Are there any other Cathe step tapes that would be good for learning Cathe step? I have Cardio Hits DVD and CTX DVD. I'm wondering if I should invest in these 2 workouts (Mega Step Blast and Wedding tape) or just try and do parts of Cathe's more challenging step workouts that I have on DVD (just try and breakdown the moves and do sections at a time).

What do you think? Thanks for any suggestions.

I don't have the Wedding video so I can't comment on it. However, Mega Step Blast and Step Heat are considered to be the easiest Cathe step tapes to learn. Lots of tricky stuff but not as complicated as say, Rhythmic Step or Step Works.

What helps if you are new to Cathe is to preview the tapes a few times before you do them. Rewind and go over the combinations on the floor with no step, or use just the four inch platform.

I am a great big klutz and it took me quite awhile to get the hang of Cathe's step bench workouts. I still stumble around if I lose concentration. But I can just step up and down until I get my feet going again and jump back in.

Just be patient with yourself and give it some time and practice. Once you learn the routines you will love them all.

Chris, I started with the wedding tape and it was a great introduction to her step. If you have done any step tapes, a lot of the language is the same but the moves she uses in the wedding tape will be used in her other step tapes and it actually is a good work out. I end up sweating as much as in some of her other ones. Also just when you think you are done, she adds another 10 minutes or so of really high impact, so it's a great starter. I was able to do rythmic step and circuit max after the wedding tape without a problem. Sandy
