Which Cathe DVD has the most complex choreography?

I just tried Step Moves for the first time today. I was L - O - S - T!!! I've never had such a hard time following a step workout before. I'm sure it will be fun once I finally get it, but I'm afraid it will take many, many attempts. I enjoy dancey step too, but I was just staring slack jawed at the TV about 50% of the time. Anyone else have a hard time with Step Moves? Anyone think Cathe has ever created a more complicated step workout?

I actuallly gave Step Moves away! I was so frustrated. Life's too short. . .When I first tried BM2, I was frustrated but eventually got it and now love it. Sometimes the learning curve is worth it and some are not (JMHO).

I had a hard time with Low Impact Challenge. I have done it a few times and I still have some trouble!

For me it's 4DS HIS/LIS & LOw impact challenge. I don't have Low max & IMAX 3 so I could not comment on those.

Hi there,

Step Moves is up there for complex choreo that's for sure. Personally, it's not the toughest choreo to learn. I did it, so can you!!

4DS High/low Intensity Step IMO has been the hardest so far.

What's funny is that Cathe's older stuff, has been the most difficult for me. Her newer stuff like LIS Step Chellenge, has been easier.

Step Blast was also difficult, but that one is SO much fun!

When I read the subject line for this post, I thought that's easy--Step Moves. I'm not surprised to hear that this is the DVD giving you trouble. I had major conniption fits over it. I felt a great sense of accomplishment once I mastered it. I wish I could advise you to stick with it because it will be worth it, but I found that now that I've learned Step Moves I almost never reach for it because the cardio workout isn't nearly as challenging as that in other step workouts. Because I seldom do Step Moves, I tend to flub up.

I think there's a fine line between (1) complex choreography that keeps you mentally occupied so that the workout goes quickly and is fun and (2) needlessly complex choreography that causes frustration without adding anything to the cardio challenge. I'd put Step Moves in the latter category. It took me a long time to learn Low Impact Challenge too but I reach for it more often than Step Moves. I don't have 4DS.

Thanks everyone for making me feel better about getting so lost. I was able to learn Rhythmic Step, Step Blast and LIC without too much trouble (except for routine 4 in LIC - that was tough). I didn't know the step routines in 4DS were that hard - good to know. I'm probably going to need to do some serious rewinding if I'm going to learn this. Later I can make up my mind if it is worth keeping in my rotation or not. Thanks again for your input.:)

I also have a hard time with Low Impact Challenge. I rarely reach for it because I've tripped several times trying to get through it so there's a dread factor there as well.
