Where is my boss?

OK I'm gonna rant a little here. It's 1:30 & he's still not in yet. He doesn't get in before 10:00 EVER, & usually it's between 11 & 12. He tells me I can't take Fridays off when we have a Monday mtg but what does he do? HE takes the freakin Friday off! One day last week I had 3 mtgs, one of which was w/him, & he called me when I was rushing back from one of them to ask me to get the other one started--I didn't even have time to take a pee, & I found out the reason he was running late was b/c he was PRINTING OUT HIS FREAKIN WEDDING INVITATIONS IN HIS OFFICE!!!!!!!!!

The guy is the biggest slacker I've ever worked with. He does absolutely nothing & takes credit for everything I do. I've met no less than 3 people in the last month who said "oh yeah, I've heard of you, you're the one who does John's job." Bearing in mind the guy makes more than twice what I do. WTF????? And he's the boss, so there's absolutely nothing to be done about it. Very frustrating.

Sounds like the same kind of deal my best friend has at her job. She does all of the work while her boss does NOTHING! Alot of thier clients know that my friend is the one who does the work and that her boss is pretty useless so ATLEAST she gets some of the credit...what she REALLY wants is the pay check to prove it...AND more time to herself...there are many times this poor girl eats and sleeps her job because she is overworked and her boss won't do anything about it!!! x(

It's not even a matter of money to me. Our town council has no idea all that I do here & they're the ones who ultimately make decisions about salary etc. All I do is make my boss look good to them so HE'S the one w/the big money, & I'm the one taking all the $hit. I gotta get outta here before I develop an ulcer.

Instead of those tickets you got him, mail him a big fat box with just a note that says 'your gift is that I still work for you, your welcome!'
Brandi:eek:

Yeah, I got him those stinkin tickets to Spamalot. Mostly out of guilt b/c not a day goes by he doesn't mention the fact that I'm not going to the wedding. I really don't care--I have no desire to attend his wedding. He has more than 150 people coming TO HIS HOUSE. Where will they park? How will he fit them? He'll run out of food within an hour.

As if I want to party with 150 municipal employees anyway. I'd much rather be with you guys!

I had a boss like that altho I will say he did "come in" to the office. Just did nothing. My job consisted of rescheduling all his appts. because he either was not prepared or "didn't feel like it." The Board figured it out soon enough and he was fired.

Do we work for the same guy?

My boss at least comes into the office by 8, our start time, but by 11 a.m. he is outta here EVERYDAY! He also lets our Sales Manager out of here by 10 sometimes 9 EVERYDAY! The sales manager delegates his job out to my Office Manager, another sales employee, and myself. I don't think he honestly does anything even though he wants everyone outside of the office to think otherwise. It has been like this for 1 1/2 years. You would think our regional office would catch on by now, the regional secretary has. I guess if it is not broken then don't fix it. As long as they are making their sales numbers then everything is A-okay. However, I do believe that what goes around comes around. They will get what is coming to them eventually.
