where do you shop?

So where do you shop for athletic wear, . . besides Target and Walmart. I'm on the hunt for the best pair of good quality, well constructed yoga pants. I usually buy from lululemon but they are soooo expensive $98 a pair. I'm thinking of shopping at lucy.com and titlenine.com has anyone here bought stuff from them?
By the way I have nothing against Target and Walmart. I have a ton of stuff from them but they don't seem to last as long or hold up to multiple washings.

Hi there Janie! Besides Lulu, I also buy from San Diego fit, Fit Couture, Athleta, and Beyond Yoga (thanks to LauraMax - that enabler!)

Love Target too!

I have been buying a lot from Victoria's Secret. It's not as cheap as Target, but not as expensive as lululemon

Hi

If you can go with someone that has a Costco membership you should go there. They have a line called Tuff there that make awesome yoga pants and workout where. I have never bought Lululemon but I have heard that tuff is comparable and is way cheaper. Pants are usually about 20 and jackets 20 and shirts are usually 16 or less. They also carry, Nike, Adidas, Champion, Avia, and Mexx too.

Good luck
Heather

Come to think of it, I do also buy a lot from Oh My Bod! I forgot about that. I also own several Nike tops. They make very cute hoodies too.

I like shopping E-bay for all my favorite yoga - workout wear. Recently bought some "alo" brand (Air, Land, Ocean) wear on E-bay that is very spendy in retail shops.

I get my Yoga pants from NY&Co. They often have sales where it's $10 for a pair and I always have coupons on hand! They're great for me cuz they come in tall and I'm 5'9

Outlets!

When I have the chance, I stop at an Adidas or Nike Outlet. I've lucked out several times with incredible bargains and stock up! You can sometimes find Nike.com has good prices also. I just got some new sports bras from there.

This is likely a good time of year to shop. Old with the old, in with the new :p

I live in the middle of po dunk no where, . . I wish I had a Marshals or a TJ Max or even a Costco. The Ross that we do have is sorta "funky", . . .when I was returning something one day the woman in front of me was arguing with the cashier about returning used underwear. Ick! Has anyone here shoped at Lucy?

I visited a Lucy store 2 weeks ago and already went back a second time. I found a few things on sale, and then bought the cropped Walk About pants. They are very comfortable with a bit of stretch.

Thanks Michelle. I just bought some work out pants from them, . .had a 20% coupon for online shopping and they are offering free shipping for purchases over $60. I don't mean to enable but I'll share it if anyone is interested.
Can I ask about fit? Thickness of fabric? Gusset crotches? Wash factor? Sorry to bombard you with questions. I was a clothing design major in college back in the day when movie tickets cost $3.00 so I'm picky about spending a lot of money on good quality clothing that will last me a long time.

Janie,

In contrast to your clothing background, I had to Google "gusset crotch" in order to understand the question (go ahead and laugh!). The pants I bought don't have it, but I don't know about the other styles. I bought a medium and the fit is comfortably loose ; I would say it is true to size or even a bit generous (a medium is supposed to cover sizes 8-10).

The fabric of the Walk About pants is thin, almost like board shorts with a little stretch. I'm wearing them for the first time today, so I can't comment on on durability or wash factor. However, there were some good reviews online for all of the styles. I may go back and get a pair of the Every Day pants. If you read the reviews, many people comment that they can "dress them up' and that they are great for travel. I did try on a pair and they are nice. Alos, it's nice that they offer the pants in 3 lengths, plus capris.

Good luck with your purchase. Let me know what you think.

Will do thanks Michelle. Don't fret, . . I forget most people don't know what a gusset is. What I like about the gusset is that if it is a cotton gusset you can go comando and do away with the evil panty line. I like the look of the Walk About Pant. They remind me of something Cathe would totally wear. I did order a pair of the Every Day Pant and the Hatha Pant. With the discount and free shipping they were not that bad. Esp when you compare to Lululemon. The reason that I was sold on giving them a try was because FINALLY someone that sells all if not most of their active pants in 3 lengths. I mean we can't all be 5'9". Lucy in the San Francisco Bay area is pretty popular here but like I mentioned I don't live near much of anything, . .except a Veterans home. I'll let you know what I think. :)

Hi Janie,

I have found that Sports Authority has much more reliable clothing. It seems it's worth the cost because they take the wear and tear a bit better.

Happy shopping!
