Along the same line as Petite Sophisticate...Casual Corner. I like their Collectibles suit separates. BTW, they're currently having a sale on their fall suits.
2nd for Petite Sophisticate and Casual Corner... we have them in an outlet mall here, connected as one store, the stores are owned by the same company and they let you shop in either one for size purposes, eg you can get the petite pants from the Petite side with the regular jacketfrom Casual Corner.. it's my favorite place for business clothes
JCrew has some really good black business suits made of great material that taper and flow nicely....I just bought two in black with slightly different styles (and you can even get them in small sizes!).
H&M stands for Hennes & Mauritz. They are in malls and stand-alone stores. The store sign and advertising says H&M, so you don't need to know the names.
Lunacat,
Thanks..do they have a website?? I live in houston, tx and cant seem to find thm on the web, i will go and check out all the suggestions today...thanks,
N.
I have a black pant suit from Banana Republic that I love. I bought it 4 years ago and it has really held up well, although I've probably only worn it 15 or so times. I think it was $375 at the time (including a shirt). I have the "Martin" style pants which are have the lowest waist, ie, they make my butt look small }(
Good luck! Oh, and H&M is one of my favorite stores! Great work type clothes cheap!
Just a note: Ann Taylor suits are absolutely lovely, but their smallest pant size (zero) is really at least a size 2 or 4 which is way too big (and frustrating) for some of us who are built smaller.
