When you are finished with the first round of STS (3 1/2 months with a week rest), to do another one, will it require you to update your 1RM's since you are now stronger?
Hi there, here's a link to a previous post a while back about this, my take on it is yes, and here's some more info in the link below. Thinking about it more, I'm thinking I will just apply a percentage bump up for each body part, like do a couple tests for shoulders to get a feel for the increase, then just apply that percentage gain to all shoulders, I can then always adjust as needed during the workout, but I just don't want to do all those tests again.
Thanks for the link. I've been faithfully writing down my weights I use...and when it comes time to do STS twice, I'll go heavier as I see fit. That's what I'm doing now anyway. Even though I did test my 1RM's, it is not accurate enough. It gives a good ball park figure, but I seem to have to modify a lot. That's OK, I keep a record on the workout card and will use these figures for future workouts.
You can do as you want. If you want to repeat you can or you can do something else. It is totally up to you.
It will be interesting to see how many people do repeat.
