wheat grass shots

Does anyone else drink this stuff? I read that the 1 oz is equivilent to 3lbs of veggies, or something like that. I drink the frozen servings you can get at Whole Foods, but I don't know if it is worth it at $15 a box. Thanks everyone for any advice.

I've bought some from www.dynamicgreens.com and used it. It comes frozen and you just drop a few cubes into a glass of water. It's the most mellow, least "green"-tasting wheatgrass juice I've ever tried.

I use Green Sweep from Bioactive Nutrients. It is full of wheat grass and other green things. It is a powder and I add it to my protein shakes in the morning. You can't even taste it. Mixed with water, it is not too bad though.

Thanks Kathryn and Peggy. Do you find or do you know if it offers any nutritional value to your diet? When I buy a 2 oz shot at my smoothie store it tastes much different from the frozen version which is more watered down. I'm wondering if growing and juicing my own would be better. It seems to give me a bit of a natural energy boost. Peggy where do you buy your powdered version? Thanks again.

Try amazing grass products. The best tasting wheat grass, chlorella, spirulina and other antioxidants. Website: www.amazinggrass.com. The chocolate is delicious (it's the best cocoa, high antioxidant). I take both the regular one and the chocolate one. I also take Emerald Balance, a whole body superfood. And recently added Boku Superfood. I am weaning myself off of vitamin pills and going this route of superfood powders.

Why does one need to take this stuff? I saw it at the health food store the other day. I already take so many vitamins. Just wondering...

Yes, many thanks for all the resources everyone. I love being able to ask people who have tasted, tried, and tested these products. As far as why one needs to take this stuff, ..well I take it because even though I eat pretty clean, my diet consisits of whole grains, lean protien, fruits and veggies I don't feel that I get enough veggies in me. I eat mostly fruit and the occassional salad. I'm just not very good at cooking veggies. I do steam broccoli and carrots from time to time but that gets boring. You can't really do a good stir fry, in my opinion without a gas top stove and a seasoned wok, which I don't have and veggies are tricky, if you over cook them they wilt and get mushy and if you over peel them you take away all the nutrients. But heck, if anyone out there has a really great no fail veggie reciepe that even I can't screw up I would greatfully take it. :)
