What's your most peaceful time of day?

I was walking the dogs this morning in the cold drizzle, and it felt so good, even in the rain. I realized that those morning walks with my two dogs are definitely my most peaceful time of day, when I can think with virtually no interruptions, and just enjoy the trees, squirrels, sounds of birds, etc. what's your most zen time of day?

3-5am before my little world of DH & dogs wake up. I love sitting outside w/ coffee and absorbing the stillness that a big city rarely experiences....

The first hour or so when I get home after work or the gym or whatever--after I've showered, lotioned, put on some comfy sweats & gotten under my down blanket. I can literally feel all the tension leaving my muscles.

After dinner, when the dishes are done, my lunch for tomarrow is packed, my workday and workout are behind me, and I have a couple hours of TV, computer or book time before bed.

Ditto...I love when my husky and I are the only ones awake. I get up at 4:30 every morning and it is heavenly. Quiet and peaceful.

I don't have much time during the week, but when I do, it's always in the evening - maybe an hour to relax before bed.

On weekends, I dearly love the mornings - a slow breakfast, take the dog for a walk, and plan out my day.

For me, it's 5:30-7:00 in the morning during the weekdays, especially right after I work out & I'm stretching/relaxing. On Saturday, it's after we're finished working (DH & I do construction projects almost every Saturday) & we've showered & finally sitting down with a nice glass of wine. On Sundays, we usually sleep in a bit so it's really nice & peaceful to just take our time & sip coffee while reading the Sunday paper. Ahhhhh!

Wonderful question!

Mine lately, is in the evening when DH and I get into our Hot Tub. It's especially nice when it's snowing and the air is calm. We just sit and Zone and forget about the day.:)

I have to second the hot tub... DH & I haven't been in it in a few nights because we've just been too busy but that's definitley one of the most peaceful & relaxing things we do together!

My 40 min on the bus each way to work. I just listen to my ipod and chill out. I love this time of the day and dread it when I have to drive to work instead of taking the bus. Also, Thursday nights when DH has his soccer games and I have the house to myself. I love it!

My morning and evening drives to and from work. I drive from Georgia to Florida (about a 35 minute drive) on a 4-line highway. Traffic is usually light. I have seen the most incredible sunrises and sunsets. It's a relaxing way to start and end the day.

WOW, this made me think. I realize I have absolutely no peaceful time in my life. The situation around here is so demanding with the boys needs and then the normal responsibilities. It isn't even peaceful at night as I am awakened every few minutes by two of my boys who talk in their sleep...loudly.

Thanks for asking this question. I am now going in search of peace and, dang it, will find some.

Mine is between 5-6 am before DS and DH get up. Weekdays I do yoga and then read a bit before it gets loud and busy.

I sleep in on the weekends, so when I first start to wake up - curled under the comforter, my cat usually wrapped around my head, realizing I don't have to get up until I want to - it's all quite and peaceful. Just enjoying that "waking up" period. I love weekends - calm, quite, relaxing. Yeah, it's Friday!!

When my son has gone to bed, all the chores are done, and I have time to watch TV, play on the computer, take a bath, read. Usually I am by myself because hubby is in school ;)

Any time I get to take in a sunset and especially over the ocean ...

...at home on the weekends sitting in the back yard .. just me and my babies .. silence and the smell of the woods ...

.. oh but when my big baby Buster is sleepy and crawls up in bed (or couch) and I can snuggle up next to him {ummm he is as big as a person when he stretches out} .. aahhhhhh ... priceless
:)

.. during the week it would have to be after a hectic work day .. and a hard workout {s} .. that little amount of time when I get home and I can get in the bath .. all by myself and unwind and let go of all the days craziness:)

... and ANY time that freaking phone isn't ringing!! LOL}(

My most peaceful time of the day is during my hour of prayer every day and my chapter reading. And also at night when watching tv with my bunny snuggling under my chin.:)

Like so many others I get up early - 4:30AM. And my most peaceful time of the day is between 4:30 and 5:30AM while I sip my tea, watch the news and read a book (and say hi the the Cheetahs!). Just me and the dogs, and the most they want is a scratch and a "good dog".
