What's the difference between Slow and Heavy vs

Awww, I would have enjoyed reading Cathe's reply b/c I'm looking at both of the dvd's and trying to choose. I have ME, PH, Bmax, L&G, MIS. These two workouts (Slow &Heavy and Pure Strength) are different b/c they split the body parts into 3 separate days. Anyone able to tell me the differences b/t the two of them? (music, reps/sets, weights, bar vs dumbells? How about your results, compared? Pleeeaaase??? ;) /karen

Hi,
I love both series but find that the PS is easier to fit into my routine. It's older than S&H but it's really good. It doesn't require too much mental concentration and you work chest, shoulders and triceps at one time. Then you can give the back a more thorough workout along with biceps on another day. I like doing the PS Series on a swiss ball.
I prefer S&H Legs to PS SLA. Mostly because I like the way my lowerbody is right now and don't want too much legwork. Running pretty much keeps them tired. S&H, PLB ( 3 sets ) and PP seem to be just the right amount of strength training for my lowerbody without too much DOMS. Some people find S&H Legs easy because of the fewer reps. I love it.

I think the main difference is S&H has less reps per set than PS. Also PS upper body segments are shorter in lenghth than S&H. PS legs is longer in duration. Both are excellent workouts. I often mix up combinations of the two.

Thank you so much for your information! So, ahem, that would lead me to conclude that I need BOTH series. ;) /karen
