This isn't the first time I am hearing this. As with most things, new evidence sometimes changes what we think. For example, the belief that there is a serious "after-burn" after exercise is now being re-thought. He does say to do both cardio and weights. His recommendation of cardio 5 days and weight training 2-3 days isn't totally out there. Many things I am reading now say if you want to lose weight/fat, you should have a standing "cardio date" every day - like an evening walk for 30 minutes in addition to a regular daily workout. Either way, I am not giving up my weight training. I love it! What this physician doesn't mention, which I still feel is the most important, is DIET!!
