What workouts would you consider Freestylish?

Hi All.
I just started doing Freestyle and want to use Cathe's workouts as much as possible. I'm ready to buy something new but want to get something as close to Freestyle as possible.
Any thoughts? I'd appreciate it.

Thanks.

Did you happen to see some one was sweet enough to post a freestyle rotation using all Cathe's workouts? It's pretty cool! It's in the Rotation folder.

In the past, I have had huge success doing the total body and circuits on consecutive days. I just started this up again earlier this week and it already seems like things are moving towards my goals!:)

what is it called Sarah? i looked in the rotation folder but i didn't see anything about freestyle.....TIA

Could I gently interject that you don't have to work this hard to get wonderful results? I tried this level of training and it got me burned-out in a hurry. I know everyone it enthused about FS training, and I am, too, but it's possible to get results without so much work and so much time.

I agree Honeybunch...like I said, I have had awesome results in the past by doing total body and circuits on consecutive days, doing abs every day and toss in some additional cardio. I am doing this now. I'll report back in a few weeks. My abs are already looking much better after just one week!

This morning I did Circuit Max, and later I'll do a Pilates class that is 15 minutes of abs and 15 minutes of lower body. That'll be it for today. So it you add up the total time of the lower body work, it ain't that much.
Just Do It! :)

Hello everyone - Just letting you guys know I created that rotation to give me an EXTRA push to get in shape for bikini leg season - it worked, but I don't think I could do 2 hours everyday as well - lol

I am working up a new freestyle rotation using only Cathe's lowerbody ones right now. I just got CTX series, so I am trying to incorporate that series with freestyle. I LOVE the Leaner Legs going about 70% of weight - it is quick, dirty and very very efficient!

These are my favorite lower body freestyle workouts..

Legs and Glutes (40mins)
Leaner Legs (35mins)
HSTA lower body (2X through)(26mins)
PLB (minus the ball work)(35mins or so..)

For all floor work.....Legs and Glutes floorwork premix, plus PLB floorwork

I also teach pilates 2X a week and I try and do about 15 mins of leg floorwork....pilates is great in helping me to stretch out my sore muscles and keep me from overtraining.........

I agree you don't have to spend eternity to get benefits from using this concept........hope that helps a little.......

Thanks for all the info girls. And thank you Honeybunch for reminding me that I don't have to be so hard on myself. I forget that. A LOT.
Thanks again for all this stuff. I'll use it all to put something together that's doable for me. :)

I agree ladies.

In my own way I am doing leg work 4-5 days per week with light or no weights. Also included are upper body twice per week. Abs at least 3-4 sessions, cardio 4 days and some yoga.

These generic guidelines are working fine for me. I try not to have more than one or two days in my week that have workouts in the 90" minute range or greater.

PS I have also played tennis regularly up until this week ( a foot injury has me stopping all impact)

Reba,

That was some Freestyle rotation that you had made up! Definitely let us know when the new one is made and post it!

Working on the new rotation as we speak - I had to do all the CTX workouts first to figure out how to incorporate them, but they are perfect bc they have 30 mins cardio and about 10 mins upper body part, which leaves 20 mins to hit those legs or abs or whatever you want and keep it around an hour.........

I working up a split AM/PM rotation, but the PM strictly emphasizes the legs......

Cathe has so many good dvds it is hard to choose which one to do! what a problem to have - lol
