What workouts did you do when you were pregnant?

My husband and are SO ready for children - we are planning to start trying really soon (I can't wait!). I would like some help on deciding what workouts I can and should do - can I keep doing all the ones I have been doing as long as I feel up to it? I own Maximum Intensity Cardio, High step circuit, High step training, Back, biceps and abs, Muscle endurance, Body Max, and I have preordered the Hardcore series. I also have most of the Karen Voight videos.

What about ab work? I've finally got strong abs and I want to keep them strong but don't want to hurt put any stress on the baby?

Good luck in your journey to parenthood. My first trimester I continued my normal workout routine doing mainly cathes. By month 4 I modified sit ups. The guideline is to avoid being flat on your back. Two tapes with good modifications are fit for 2 pregnancy workout and cia two jammin workouts with gay gasper. The step/kickbox section includes a woman 6 months pregnant. The cathe tapes I used the most were the wedding tape and stepheat as pregnancy progressed. I also used my firms alot. You can use any tape just listen to your body and modify to low impact and stay off the flat position. With the weight videos, just don't up the poundage when you get pregnant but you can use thetapes you mentioned. i too was afraid of losing my figure. I was 34 when I had my daughter. She is now 10 months old and I have been comfortably wearing my bikini at the beach.
 
Congratulations, and best of luck to you and your husband in your journey to parenthood. Have you read the book Taking Charge of Your Fertility? It's an excellent resource in helping to achieve pregnancy, if you're interested.

There was an earlier post by Tricia on July 2nd, still on this page of posts, that posed a very similar question (What is your favorite Cathe workout to do while pregnant). You might reference it for more feedback and suggestions.

I didn't get to read it before I got pregnant (with twins!), so I'm pretty sure we are not going to be planning another pregnancy after this one!! (I already have a 21 month old.)

I also wanted to ask Shopaholic (love that, BTW!), where did you find the Fit for 2 Pregnancy workout? I'd be interested in checking that out.

I bought fit for two off half.com. I don't believe it is sold anymore. Your best bet is to try ebay, half.com or the swaps. I lent my sister in law my copy, she is due in sept. I also second getting taking control of your fertilty. I got pregnant within 2 months of reading, well skimming the book, after tryng for 6 months.
