What upcoming / new workouts are you excited about?

Oh, I didn't know that Patrick was doing a HWC 3! I have to get it! Woo hoo! The second one is really hard- maybe harder than the first. They are both excellent.

Cathe's new cardio- I am beside myself. I try not to think about it much because I want it in my grubby little hands so much!

I was initially very excited about BB's Insanity but now, I don't know. Does it have enough resistance training for me? I don't know yet. I want to like it- think I'll wait and catch the reviews first.

I am also very excited about KCM's new workouts, especially the body weight resistance only. I like heavy lifting but sometimes these are great for a change of pace. I used to be iffy on KCM based on one circuit workout I had, but once I did her step kickboxing and her 30 Minutes to Fitness workouts, I was sold. :)

Oh and I preordered Amy's 2 new ones so I'm happy about that. Her drop sets one that she is filming this summer seems like one I need too.

What the heck is the Patrick thing??

Shock Cardio
Amy's Kickbox Surge
These aren't new, but kettlebells are new to me and I'm receiving these tomorrow or early next week: Amy's 3-n-1 Kettlebells and Lauren Brooks Kettlebell workout. I plan on ordering Kettlebell Dynamics once I've been at kettlebell's for a while.
I also ordered Amy's Boot Camp workout from a gift cert. I had and I'm excited to finish out my Amy collection.
I look forward to Turbo Fire but that's not until much later.
I look forward to preordering more of Amy's Dynamic Series (but I'll have to wait and see as I've preordered Shock cardio, bought a kettlebell workout, 4 kettlebells, and just finished CLX which was ordered not too long ago).
I love, love, love all the options and variety...woot, woot!

Edtied to say: HWC3??? Well, I'm looking forward to that too then!

I have to laugh at how many of us buy workout stuff for ourselves for our Birthday, Anniversary, Christmas...as if we need an excuse! I know I do it too! I bought STS Cardio for my birthday in August this year and STS for my birthday last year. I only wish I had a few more birthdays every year!

I know!! My DH keeps asking what year the workout videos/equipment/clothes are for...I am up to 2012 Mother's Day presents already!! ha ha
Having said that, I cannot wait for Cathe's cardio and Insanity, too!

It was fun reading everyone's posts. :)

I did not know about HWC3 and had forgotten about the Amy presale. Too many options!!! I cant do justice to the workouts I own and here are so many great new ones on the way.

I am definitely looking forward to Cathe's Shock Cardio. I think I will do another STS rotation and add this in.

I ordered both of Amy's that are being released this month. I am cautiously optomistic for the kickboxing one. I did not like her hi/lo kickbox or Kickbox Extreme so we shall see... I am going to wait to read more about Amy's new set she will be filming in July.

I am looking forward to CCV9. Not that I NEED another CC. I have all 8 plus plenty of iTrains but...

I am THINKING of getting CLX. I am just not sure.

I am looking forward to (though no details as of yet) Tracey Staehle's Strikezone 2.

The one I don't think I am going to go for is Insanity. I don't think I am insande enough!

Lots of great workouts to look forward to in the coming year!

Carrie

Just STS Cardio, of course :D
CLX, still wanting this one but just haven't ordered
TurboFire...now that I've heard about it ;)

Pretty boring, huh?

Amy's kickbox surge
STS cardio although I did not preorder this time.:p
And Patrick's HCW2 looks good.

I have done Patrick workouts off of FitTv. I usually don't stray from Cathe, Amy and Tracey afraid of the damage it will do to my wallet if find more instructors. :)

Sound policy Jenn! Of limiting yourself to just a few instructors.

I used to be very good at not "over collecting". I seem to be slipping these days.

It isnt just wallet considerations. I sometimes just stand and stare at my collection wondering what to do because there are just sooo many great workouts there that I havent done as often as I'd like.

I dont "need" a single additional DVD. I have more than enough to keep me going for the rest of my days.

Perhaps I should limit myself to just a few instructors. Yikes! That would be tough.

I've gone from being fairly judicious about my home-ex DVD purchases (usually just limited to Cathe pre-sales and the odd non-Cathe here and there) to being a bonafide home-ex DVD hoarder. To wit: while I was anxiously waiting for STS in the final months, I glommed on some Amy Bento hi/lo stuff (after having earlier gotten some Sharon Twomblys that, except for the core routines, have sat totally unmolested in my closet), and some other Bentos I wound up giving away; then of course somewhat shortly after STS landed, Cathe announces the Shock Cardio system and whoosh! There goes another C-note . . . and THEN - some demon PMs me about the Beachbody "Insanity" series and pre-whoosh! There goes another C-note set aside for when it goes on sale. And let's not even talk about the Pull-Up Tower presale starting tomorrow.

My problem is (and everyone should have such problems) I can cash in the cash value of my accrued sick leave hours for fitness-related expenses including gym dues (which I have), equipment (which I have) and home-ex DVDs (need I say more). So my addiction is not only enabled but enhanced b/c I get them, at the end of the day, for pennies on the dollar.

Sigh. It sucks to me me.

ROFL! I am going to justify it to myself this way when I splurge next on DVDs.

Vee, when all else fails in the rationalization department, I have these fall-back positions:

It is extensively documented that physical fitness saves in health care costs, both in the short and long term. So my position is: every dollar you spend on exercise expenses from which you truly derive exercise benefits is a dollar that SAVES you at least 20-40 dollars down the road in health care costs. Think: no Type II diabetes treatment; no low-back-pain treatment; no high blood pressure treatment; no osteoporosis treatment; and the list goes on. I also say that every hour you expend in intelligent, purposive exercise saves you 10-20 hours in a medical facility somewhere down the line, for the same reasons listed a moment ago.

Also . . . if home-ex DVDs are what you like to amass, so what? Is that any worse than someone buying season tickets to their favorite sports team or artistic group? Is that any worse than people paying for golf games or movies or scrapbooking (a pastime whose appeal mystifies me, but whatever . . .)? At least you have something in your hand when you part with the cash!

(Also note that I forgot to mention the Shiva Rea yoga discs I bought and still have yet to bring into the mix.)

There now. I've just given you two juicy self-justifiers to enable and enhance your home-ex DVD gobbling. Are you not blessed?

I really like your way of thinking!
It makes PERFECT sense!:D:D:D:D I needed this after I just purchased a bunch of Christi Taylor dvds this weekend! Fitness Fly had a 20% off sale. I saved really big when I add in all your reasonable equations.

Undoubtedly. I am going to splurge without a second thought when the fancy strikes me.
