what to eat at Olive Garden???

I would imagine hell is place where they have lots of Pizza Hut, Burger King, TGI Fridays, and Olive Gardens restaurants....with American Idol type garbage being pumped through the speakers....and dorky waitstaff who wear silly buttons and think they're cool. ;)

That sounds like my recent experience in Orlando. ;)

(j/k Orlando people. I never made much further than I-Drive anyway...)

Am I the only one who actually loves Olive Garden's salad??? I can eat like 3 bowls by myself. And don't even get me started on their new Chicken dumpling soup. Of course this is coming from someone who actually worked at the Texas Roadhouse and wore those stupid buttons! ;)

I have a friend who is a chef and she owned a restaurant in the Old Town area of Orlanda...yes, there is a really cool older section of Orlando that has nothing to do with Mickey!!! I visited her there and it had some great locally owned bars, shops, and cafes. (and I never had to go near Disney!:D)

I really like their salad! :) I haven't tried the chicken dumpling soup. It sounds great though!

I would liked to have ventured out that way. My time in Orlando was for a conference at the convention center, and the schedule pretty much had us held hostage. Although we did find a little Thai restaurant on I-drive that was a bright spot in the week.

A colleague of mine and I go to an annual conference that's held in a different city each year. We're both foodies, so we usually manage to make some pretty cool restaurant finds. The best time was in Seattle...what a great place to eat!
