....is how fit and healthy everyone looks! All sorts of shapes, sizes and levels of fitness but everyone looks GREAT! No unnatural "waifs" or "heroin chic" women here!!

Rock on, ladies.

What struck me the most is for the first time in years I went for at least 3 days without hearing "you're too skinny." We all connected so well--I've never been amongst such a large number of women who were completely devoid of cattiness & jealousy. It felt like coming home. :D

haha shelley.
I noticed that too from everyones stories. There was no usual girl cattiness that is found everywhere these days - its just amazing..you guys rock.

Hey LauraMax, you KNEW Shelley was gonna answer THAT one, didn't you??? ;-)

I couldn't agree more with the original post. It was so striking to me that we had women on the RT ranging in age from the early 20's to the mid-late 50's, of every height, weight, color and body type (plus Chris, our tall and very fit "rooster" :)), and EVERYONE was right in there for every class. The energy level in those classes -- especially kickboxing, wouldn't you say, Trippers? -- was unbelievable.

Proof positive that each one of us can be a superfit woman even while we're still working on ... uh ... shall we say, "sculpting" the outer layers. ;-)

I so agree with you, Kathy! I gained so much inspiration from everyone on that roadtrip, not just Cathe and crew. I was so proud to be a part of it. Can't wait for the next one! :p

I am a firm believer that catty behavior is rooted from insecurity and low self esteem. I think the reason it didn't happen on the road trip was because all th women there were dedicated to fitness and living a healthy life style, otherwise they wouldn't have ben there in the first place. People like that tend to be very secure with themselves and have much more self esteem.

I wasn't there, but that is my guess....

I think you hit the nail on the head Sarah! I will admit that I am self-concious of my body at times but not once was I intimadated by this crowd. I think we all saw each other from the inside out and Cathe truely attracts the best of the BEST!

I agree, Sarah nailed it. I had commented to friends on just that topic - no cattiness, just women laughing, having fun & working their buns off! What a great crowd. & as one older ones at 57, I felt perfectly comfortable with all you younger folks - sharing a commitment to live a healthy life & of course our love for Cathe made for a great group!

I agree too! (And, Sarah, you have a good point about how insecurities often fuel cattiness.) Over and over, I met warm, friendly women who were so happy to be there and so ready to meet cyber friends and make new ones. The whole weekend really exceeded my expectations.
