What size do u consider to be skinny?

I know that muscle weighs more than fat, and I am at least 115 now, and I wear a 0 to a 2. Some people say I am much too skinny, but that is their problem, not mine. Please remember that, when people criticize you, it is their problem, not yours.

I completely agree. I have (over the years) come to understand that what people say is more about them than it is about you.

Anyone else annoyed by the expression "real women" when describing women who are not thin?

Don't get me started. To me, it implies that thin women are not real. I don't get the usage at all.

ALL women are "real" and ALL women have "curves".

In my mind, the term "real women" means a figure that is actually attainable, as in NOT a super model's body. Those types of physiques represent an extremely tiny percentage of the population and are not a realistic goal for most females to aspire to. To me it doesn't mean that you can't be slender to be "real" because you certainly can be - I am slender but I certainly don't have a super model physique!

JMHO. :)

While I understand what you're saying, especially with photoshopping going on and making certain figures truly unattainable, I still don't think it's fair to infer that even someone with a super model physique isn't real. They are as real as the rest of us, even if their look is not attainable for most of us

I'm not being contrary, because I really do get what you mean here, but still... can't we dispense with the words and phrases that put ANY type of body down? Even the "perfect" ones? It's still not right.

I get that the term "real women" is used to make people feel better about themselves for not looking like supermodels, but I still think it is offensive. I think all women are "real" regardless of what they look like. I say this as someone who is not normally touchy about words/labels and most definitely not a supermodel! Not sure why this annoys me so much, but it just does.
