What should I do?

I'm startig a colon cleanse next week to hopefully cre y stomach problems...this requires to eat very little. For the 1st 3 weeks you eat only 2 meals (mostly fruits and vegies) and on the last week (4th week) you don't eat anything at all. I'll probably loose weight on this (wich is good), but I'm worried about gaining it all back and more. If after the cleanse I slowly star eating more and ea healthy after, can I keep myself from gaining weight back?

Also exercise...
The good thing is that they suggest to keep being active. So I planning on taying with my workouts for as long as I can. I'll deffinately be doing some cardio, but I'm wondering if I should do weights (not sure tha I can gain any benefits from weights training during this time since I won't be eating much).

Any thoughts?

Thank you
Katia

I have to ask Katia, if you will be doing this under a doctor's orders. My concern is that if you are only eating 2 meals of fruits & veggies a day & you try to exercise, you may end up hurting yourself.

You will not only lose weight doing this, you will lose muscle & strength.

If you are not doing this under doctors orders, PLEASE, PLEASE, PLEASE consult your doctor before proceding.

This isn't under a Dr's order... my Dr doesn't believe in alternative medicine. But I asked my homeopathic Dr and he said to just see how I feel. He said that after a couple of days some people actually feel more energized. Ofcourse he's just cnserned about health, not my fitness/weight. So I didn't even ask him abou weight training.
I had a though that maybe that 1 week without food won't hurt my metabolism too much. ???

When your body runs out of fuel, it can start breaking down muscles for energy. You aren't eating any protein at all with just fruits and veggies so I wouldn't suggest working out at all.

What happens when you've depleted your body of its fuel and it goes into starvation mode?
