What Is Your Favorite 80's Movie??

Cathlete
After reading the worst movie ever thread, I thought this would be a fun one!

My favorite movie probably was "Flashdance!"I wanted to be "Alex" so bad, wasn't she just so hot, and that warehouse where she lived was awesome!
Oh, and I had a hopeless crush on Michael Nouri, that dark hair, those eyes, that body....:p

My runner-up is Purple Rain. Loved Appollonia, and of course His Majesty--Prince! That dark hair, those eyes, his tiny hiney, etc...:p

Fast Times at Ridgemont High
Sixteen Candles - Mainly because it was filmed at my high school, which has since been torn down.

I agree. Sixteen candles, Pretty in Pink, The Breakfast Club, Say Anything, Steele Magnolias (I think that's 80's), ET, Raiders of the Lost Arc, The Labyrinth, A Room With a View. LOVE 80's movies!!

Jane,
I was about to say that I would list both of those as favorites and now I can say I "know" someone who went to that high school. ;-)

Beavs.

It's fun to watch now especially because the high school is gone. It brings back lots of memories. Risky Business was filmed there too and the scene with Tom Cruise in the classroom was my Science class.

I think you're lucky there wasn't a couch in your science class! HA HA HA! You must have had quite the high school ;-)

This is going to sound really stupid, but I really like Staying Alive.

I also like Night of the Comet, Fast Times at Ridgemont High, Valley Girls and Purple Rain!

OMG!! I totally forgot about Staying Alive!! My absolute favorite movie soundtrack ever!!:7 John Travolta never looked better:9

I was such a movie-goer in the '80's. Many of my absolute favorites are from that decade:

Blue Velvet
Paris, Texas
Do The Right Thing
Hope & Glory
A Room with A View
Henry V
Say Anything
When Harry Met Sally
This is Spinal Tap
Raising Arizona
The Princess Bride
Bagdad Cafe
Babette's Feast
A Christmas Story.

Less Than Zero. I love Brett Easton Ellis, he really captures what it was like to come of age in the '80s.

I absolutely love '80s movies (and music too)!
A couple of my favorites are:

Ferris Buellar's Day Off
Princess Bride
Karate Kid
Footloose

Now those are classics!:7

The Breakfast Club, without a doubt. Can't bypass that when flipping through the channels.

Ummm....Better Off Dead is a close second.

Jacque, it's like you read my mind...well three-quarters of it, anyway! 'Dirty Dancing' would definitely be first on my list though, to bump that last one off :)

How about 'An Officer & a Gentleman'? Ive seen that move 100x:) I love the Molly Ringwald movies too! Another favorite was 'Dirty Dancing'. I love the music in all of them:p

Wow, I can't pick just one.

The Outsiders
Purple Rain
All the Molly Ringwald movies
Flashdance
Staying Alive
Urban Cowboy
Footloose
Risky Business
Heathers

was Grease 2 an 80's movie? I know I'm cheesy but I like this movie.;(

Oh yes and can't forget A Christmas Story, watch every Christmas over and over.

Jenn:D ;-)
