What is the difference..,

between Power Hour and ME? As I view the clip of PH, they look very similar. I have ME. Would I be getting anything different? What about MIS? The reason I am asking is I would like to upgrade Bodymax to dvd, but I am wondering if I would like PH and MIS that much. Can you tell I like my cardio.:D

All three are more endurance type workouts. Power Hour is my favorite and I think the toughest. The music just rocks! Power Hour has a bunch of squats and lunges. If you aren't begging for mercy while you're doing the lunges, your a fitness goddess!!

MIS is really great too! It has the same basic setup as Power Hour where it goes through each body part where ME mixes the body parts up. I think the DVD that includes BodyMax is a must have.

So did I spend your money for you?

Beth

They are both endurance workouts, but rather different. In PH, you do one body part per song, sometimes with one exercise, sometimes with two. In ME, there is more variety moving from one exercise to another. FOr leg work, PH has squats (about 120 total...if you count!) and lunges. ME has those, but also adds the very effective (for butt lifting) leg presses.

Thanks for the reviews! Yes Beth, you and a few others are helping me spend my money quite well. I believe this will be my next Cathe purchase, but probably not for awhile. In fact, it will most likely be on my Christmas list. My DH will have a fit if I spend anymore on Cathe dvds this year, since he already bought me 4 Cathe's. However, I may sneak in a Christi from Collage very soon. }(

Since ME and PH are so similar, would you not rather get the Pyramids instead?

I have MIS and PH and ME and hardly ever do any of them. I mean, how many endurance workouts do you need? I do the CTX upper body split/Leaner Legs and PUB/PLB combos as my staples and haven't touched MIS for about two years now. I think I got bored with it. PH is way more interesting, the music is greater and the leg work is good. But the fact that ME spreads the leg workout throughout the workout is an advantage I think.

Still, my money would go for PUB and PLB, for a totally diferent way of training.

I thought about the Pyramids, but I don't have a stability ball and not really intersted in one. Do you need the stability ball?

I vote Pyramids as well. I hardly use Power Hour or ME. When I do ME I separate the upper and lower and use mostly the ab work. I love the Pyramids. It took me awhile to realize that I was in a rut because that is all I wanted to do. They do use the stability ball at the end of the legs. You could sub some ankle weight work on part of it, also you could probably substitue on other moves as well. ie.step with ankle weights or dumbells for the hamstrings or no weight depending on your fitness level. On the upper body workout it is used for the abs/core. It would probably be hard to do this but it is at the end of the workout and you could sub another ab workout.

No, you don't NEED it. I do both workouts without it, and I actually have a ball! And if you did decide to get one, well you will find the TJMaxx and Marshalls and target and KMart stores overflowing with them for around $10. So it 'aint gonna break the bank!!
