What is the advantage of a muscle endurance workout?

Hi,

I'm pretty new here and bet this has been discussed lots of times. I can't quite figure out the importance of muscle *endurance* workouts. Are they somehow different from muscle *building* routines?

I've been doing strength with the Firm for the last year but am moving on to Cathe. I have Power Hour and Muscle Endurance for strength work. Both these tapes are endurance workouts. Am I missing other elements of strength work?

Adding that while endurance is important if you want to build muscle then you need to do strength tapes also to balance out your workout. Cathe's tapes like Pure Strength series, the Pyramids and Slow and Heavy will build muscle. The post (I linked) itself explains the benefits of endurance workouts.

My goals right now are to build and shape muscle though. Which workouts might be better for that? PUB maybe?

All of the workouts I mentioned PS series, Slow and Heavy and the Pyramid (which included PUB and PLB) will help you build muscle and to shape. I prefer myself to do strength workouts over endurance. So any of the forementioned ones will accomplish what your goals are. Have fun deciding and let us know what you decide on.:7 :7
