I am 12.5 weeks. I vomited the very first day of my sickness which was around 6 weeks. The rest of the time I have just felt very nauseous all day. All of a sudden the past two days I have vomited again and had the hardest time getting over it and off to work. I thought I was supposed to start feeling better now. What is going on? Help me!

Hang in there Andrea!!

I'm no expert, but I think the nausea might be related to the pregnancy hormones. I was sick until about 22 weeks with both of my pregnancies and know people who were sick the whole nine months. As awful as it was, I just kept trying to convince myself that the nausea/vomiting was a good sign because it meant that everything was going ok with the pregnancy. Hope you feel better soon! Take care!

ooooooh, icky!!! Poor dear.

Oh Andrea, what a bummer! Are you just vomiting in the morning, then feeling somewhat better (functional) throughout the day?? I ask because I got hit with a massive case of the stomach flu at 12 weeks with my third daughter and it took me a while to figure out that it was the flu and not morning sickness. Sometimes the morning sickness hits particularly hard if you're overdoing. Do you feel stressed or are you not getting enough sleep? That might be causing it to kick up. I didn't really feel better till 14 weeks, so I wouldn't be surprised if this is just your morning sickness having one last hurrah. However, I think you should call your doc and ask his advice, just to make sure. It never hurts to ask the questions, maybe your doc could point something out to you. IN the meantime you know you have lots of sympathy here!

misery

Andrea,
I was sick until week 20 or so. It tapered off but I still felt it at that time. The worst weeks for me were 8-11. And it seems to really drag on. The first three months of my pregnancy were the most miserable I've ever been.

Hang in there! The sickness will go away. In the meantime, indulge yourself in whatever you need to make yourself feel better... extra sleep, bubble baths, etc.
good luck
Sara
