What is going on?!!!

Hi Cathe,

Okay, I gained 2 lbs. but I don't get why. Honestly, I hardly cheated around the holidays, not to mention, I did extra workouts to prepare for the additional cal's I took in. I have been doing the 4ds for about 6 weeks now, lifting heavier than usual. Could this be the reason for the 2 lbs.? Or could it be that sushi I had the other night??, Ha! Please explain.

Hi Amanda. The body fluctuates between 2 to 3 pounds on a given day for many reasons....just to name a few....sodium content in food, that time of month, muscle recovery from intense workouts, and yes, even overeating (but that does not sound to be the case for you). In your case it sounds as if its muscle recovery. I like to encourage people to measure their results rather than weigh them. Muscle is so much denser than body fat. Muscle may weigh in heavier but it takes up a lot less space :)
