Hello ladies!!

I recently started adding a protein supplement to my diet in the morning, and after my workouts. I have noticed that I have far less muscle fatigue during workouts, and less soreness post workout :)
I was wondering what you guys put in your shakes??

I use
2 scoops: Shaklee Instant protein soy mix: 16 grams protein,80 calories, less than 1 carb
1 cup skim milk= 8 grams protein
1/2 Banana
3-4 Frozen Strawberries
1 tablespoon Splenda

I like using the frozen strawberries becuase it makes it like a ice cream shake

My protein shakes are similar to yours except I use frozen blueberries instead of the strawberries. I also add either a tablespoon of flax oil or two tablespoons of flax meal.

Delicious!

I've posted this before - it tastes like a peanut butter milkshake. Yummy.

8 oz. skim milk
1/3 cup plain nonfat yogurt
6 ice cubes
1/3 cup uncooked oatmeal (never instant)
1 scoop chocolate protein powder (I use American Whey double dutch chocolate)
1-2 TBLSP natural peanut butter

no added sugar, lots of fiber and protein.

Either 1 cup OJ, handful of frozen berries (raspberries, strawberries or blueberries), wheat germ, protein powder and sometimes bananas or one cup soy milk and chocolate powder and a few ice cubes.

I made this, but before I did I cut the recipe in half. The only reason that I did was becasue I could tell that the calorie count would be very high.

The version above with only 1TLSP of PB comes out to 460 calories(using Designer Whey protein at 90 cals a scoop). That's 47 grams of protein, 42 grams of carbs and 13 grams of fat.

If you add another scoop of PB it would be a little more than 550 calories(52P, 45C, 21F). That's alot for a meal supplement or especially a recovery drink. I do like the recipe.

Just be aware of protein shakes, the calories do add up fast and can sabatoge a weightloss effort.

I normally have one every morning....

2 cups fruit, 3/4 cup soymilk, 1 T ground flaxseed and one scoop vanilla soy protein....yum!!!.....:)...Carole

Guess I'm the odd one here. I kinda drink any sort of powered Protein shake, but it's got to contain at least 30g + of protein, 3 carbs. Right now I'm drinking something called Big Whey and I just add skim milk, soy milk and/or just water.....how plain.

I try to drink a shake twice a day.

I use whey powder by EAS. It has 20 grams of protein, 5 carbs.
I put good old h20 in it, a frozen unsweetened strawberry or two, and 1/4 c. of 1% cott. cheese, an ice cube, and 1 pkt of splenda.
It's pretty good and not high in carbs or fat. If it's just after a workout I skip the cott. cheese (although it makes it much better) because you're not supposed to have fat after a workout. :)

Hi everyone!
I use Designer Whey Protein. Chocolate or French Vanilla. When I use Chocolate I usually mix 1 scoop protein with 8 oz. H20; 8 oz. carb control "dairy beverage", 4 ice cubes, 1 banana and a heaping teaspoon instant decaf coffee. My version of a MOCHA SHAKE. When I use the French Vanilla I usually use the same amounts of H2O, carb control beverage, 4 ice cubes, a whole banana and orange EAS Betagen. I've also experimented using tiny amounts of coconut extract in this shake. My version of a PINA COLADA wannabe smoothie.

I have a protein shake every AM after working out.

FYI - EAS used to offer some great "recipes" w/ their MYOPLEX varieties of protein mixes.

I just use Vanilla Spirateen (soy based) with ice and non fat milk. Yummy, lots of good stuff in it including lots of protein, fills me up and not too much sugar.

I'm very fussy about my protein I'm not into cardboard ;. I used to use EAS Vanilla Simply Protein until I discovered Beverly's Vanilla Muscle Provider. OMG tasty stuff. Then Ihought I'd try something else by them. Just received their Cookies and Creme Ultimate Muscle Protein (UMP) I'm saving this for my 6th meal more like a dessert!

Anyway.. I usually have my protein right after my morning workout
either frozen strawberries or blueberries or 1/2 banana.

Along with 1tsp Glutamine, 1tbsp Udo's flax oil and a dash of cinnamon YUM.

Except for meal 1 and 6 I get my other protein from real food.
