Oh Man!! Do I have stories about UPS!! I never had any issues with them at my old house. After moving to our new home though it has been HORRIBLE, a nightmare to say the least. Even though our house is like 35 years old, they couldn't seem to find it....?? Hmmm yet when you type it in Mapquest, go figure, it comes right up.
I had one situation where I had ordered from Collage and paid for expedited shipping, 2 days; suffice it to say UPS screwed up for 3 days in a row not being able to 'find' my house and then conveniently the driver "broke down" too. I gave like 4 different 'managers' my directions and STILL NOTHING.
Then after being as livid as possible I wanted a refund of the $$. I spoke to a 'supervisor' who was likely 15 years old and had the attitude to match. He kept explaining WHY my package was late; they put it on the wrong truck. I said um so what, that is not my fault. Refund my $$$. They said they could not refund $$ only the vendor (meaning Collage video) could. Well the vendor, Collage video, wouldn't do it either surprisingly. So both of them knew that I paid $15-$20 for expedited shipping and didn't get expedited shipping but DID get a migraine and neither one of them did anything to compensate me for it. (however at least Collage was nice about it)
When you go to UPS>com you will notice there is NO corporate address, no 'customer service' email and no "main" number to call to complain. They don't even have a section anywhere on their site; its as if they assume they cannot screw up, when clearly they do.
After spending literally hours of my time on the phone with various UPS idiots, I gave up. I have never in my life experienced such horrible service ever. Fortunately more companies I notice are starting to use USPS or FedEx.
Hope this helps in saving you time.
