WHAT DO YOU DO TO PAMPER YOURSELF?

I thought this might be something fun to do. Who pampers themself? How often, what do you do? What comments or remarks have others had to say about your self indulgence? Is there anything else you would like to try for yourself?

I get my nails done (BIG WHOOP) Hubby hates it

I tan in spring and fall 3-4 days a week Grandma thinks I am getting skin cancer Beth's reply to grandma "Let's see I do not drink I do not smoke I do not do drugs Breathing this fresh air is going to give me cancer sooner or later "according to the latest study". Grandma changes subject!

Eyebrows get ripped off twice a week (OUCH! IS THIS CONSIDERED PAMPERING)?

One Pedicure a year to welcome spring and kiss winter goodbye. The sun is shining bright today and my toes are dancing wondering how much longer?

Nope nothing wild and crazy but its what I got for now! I would love to try a full body massage or something for the face.

I just booked a facial and haircut (at a nice salon) later this month for my 20th birthday..that's going to be really nice. That's my dad's birthday gift to me. :)

Regularly, I don't do a whole lot. I've had facials before..they're always very enjoyable. I usually do my own french manicure..I get a pedicure every once in awhile, I'd like to get those more often..

I get my nails done too!!! Not really pampering as I am a nail tech and I do my own!!! But I do try for a full body massage every 3 weeks. They are so good for you...:)...Carole

Once in awhile I will book a massage or a facial at a spa, always a treat and very relaxing. Other than that I don't do a whole lot other than the usual haircut and occasional eyebrow waxing when they are getting out of control!! :)

I guess I don't do that much. I never get manicures because I'm very fidgety and always wind up peeling the polish off as soon as it goes on. I used to have my eyebrows done, but it just got too expensive, so I stopped. I will sometimes get a pedicure during the summer, but not as often as I should.

My big indulgence these days is having my hair highlighted. I just started last year. It's pretty subtle, but I think it softens up my face, and I'm loving it!

I also do facial!! Sometimes I go to my facialist, and sometimes I just use what I have to do a facial for myself. Doing it myself is not as painful as going to my facialist because she does extraction on my face, and that can be PAINFUL!

Or I go shopping, which is the ultimate pampering...

I love putting face masks on and giving myself a pedicure. I can't handle a pedicure at a salon. I'm terribly ticklish and the horror stories from working for a podiatrist for years just make me steer clear!!

I also have a parafin spa and like to dip my hands in. With as busy as I've been lately, I haven't done much of anything like this for months!!!

I did get my legs waxed for our trip and despite the pain am considering doing that regularly. We'll see!

My "pampering" is to give myself 60-90 minutes a day, guilt-free, to do my workout. When you have two very young children, it's a luxury to get such a length of uninterrupted time. My family has learned that, short of fire or serious injury, I am not to be disturbed.

Manicures, pedicures, facials?? I wish!! :) I guess "pampering" is really in the eye of the beholder, isn't it?

I usually book a spa appt. once a month and get a facial, massage, manicure, and pedicure. I get my hair professionally done every two weeks, along with my eyebrows.

I consider all of this stuff maintainance! I get my nails done and a pedicure once a week. I get my hair highlighted every every two months, and i get a facial every three months. I usually get a massage 1/month and that i do consider pampering. I shop like a feind and i consider that pampering too. :D

Agree... Melody... Mine is taking a 1/2 nap on Saturday... Nothing is better :)

I learned it from my college daughter! I've learned to pick up the best things from my kids throughout the years.

I love the IDEA of massages, facials, manicures, and pedicures, but in reality I simply don't have the patience for those kinds of activities. Instead, I pamper myself with scrumptious meals at my favorite restaurants, a really great movie, or a good book.

Hmmm...I get my hair done every 4-5 weeks but I consider that necessity, not indulgence. :D I guess I'd have to say when I curl up with a good book and a cup of tea and spend a few uninterrupted hours in someone else's world. Also, once a week DH "pampers" me with a big bowl of his fantastic popcorn and gets me one of those "mini" cans of coke, and the two of us settle in to watch Lost and Invasion together. It's really our only night of serious TV watching and we both look forward to it all week.

Life is not a journey to the grave with the intention of arriving safely in a pretty and well preserved body, but rather to skid in sideways, thoroughly used up, totally worn out, and loudly proclaiming ‘Wow - what a ride!’ — Peter Sage

Well - it has been a real while since I have done something super pampering....

But one thing that helps me relax and unwind is to just go up to my room by myself and lose myself in a book...I find it completely relaxing - and rejuvenating. Life is so stressful, that finding the time - like a whole evening - or afternoon - is hard to come by.. So - the ability to do this once in a while is a real treat.

I do get facials fairly regularly - as my skin gets quite dehydrated, and the steaming etc really helps. I really enjoy them.

I get my nails done and about one a year I treat myself to a day at Elizabeth Arden. In fact, it is about that time of year again. I need to book my appointment!:7
