WHAT DO I DO NEXT?

Hi Everyone!

Need your input and help here.

I have 3 weeks left in STS and I'm having a mini-panic attack! I've had such a good 6 months with my workouts all planned out that I'm scared to finish! I have GOT to come up with a new rotation for after, so I have 4 weeks to do that. Not sure which way I want to go yet, though - circuit, strength, endurance, blah, blah . . . I don't need to start my 10K training for a while, so any recommendations would be great!

TIA!

Hmmmmm.....

I've been thru STS 2x.

After my 3 month STS -
I did a month of PUB/PLB on M/W and BG on F. With cardio on the other days. That was fun, and BG really does get easier.

Then a month of Circuits on M/F picking from the 3 on the Terminator and DM, with MM on W, and cardio on the other days. That wore my booty out. I was TIRED at the end of that month.

Then I had some odd timing bc of a vacation, and didn't want vacay to interrupt my next STS so I did a week of PP on M/W/F with cardio the other days, a week of vacation, a week of SS on M/W/F with cardio the other days.

Then I started the 6 month rotation

After my 6 month STS -
I did a month of 4DS, M/T and Th/F, with other cardio on the other days. That was fun, but I got bored/worn out about the 4th week.
A week of only cardio.
Then a month of GS M/W/F with cardio on the other days. That was fun. GS isn't a walk in the park. Harder than I thought it would be. Esp the chest/triceps disc. I was DONE with that by week 4.
Then a week of cardio

Which brings me to now, I just started my 3rd round which is STS wts and cardio. Hopefully when I'm done - June sometime - I will do Insanity. It is the only thing I have requested for my bday in May, besides a bag of Brach's jelly beans. So then I will do Insanity for 2 months, unless I keel over and die during the 1st disc. After that I'm thinking I need to revisit the Pyramids, but not really sure. Thinking another STS for this winter. Haven't thought much past Insanity at this point.

I found that just figuring out what I was going to do and calendaring in made me less wishy-washy. I had a plan and stuck to it. I did pick and chose my cardio as I went, just tried to vary the selection.

I like to stick with a set/series for at least a month at a time, but that's just me

HTH,

Nan

Well, I'm doing this for the next 2 months and three weeks (I just started the 3 month rotation):

1 week full body endurance
1 week hypertrophy splits
1 week kettlebells
1 week strength splits

I have a ton of workout DVDs, so will really be changing it up constantly- very shocking to the body!

So that's for the weights - I will also be running 3-4 days a week, dancing, and throwing in a wildcard workout with my workout buddy once a week - usually cardio-based, but sometimes it's more of a circuit workout. Just depends what we're in the mood for.

Morningstar,

What workouts are considered hypertrophy and what are considered strength? I'm thinking meso 2 and 3. Would that be right?

Hi Tricia!

I am also doing a 6 month rotation, nearing the end of Meso 2 now, and have also looked to the future after STS......and I'm already excited about doing some of Debbie's rotations, since they are so awesome! Granted it will be towards the END of summer, but I'm already kind of psyched about the rotation she just posted. :)

Hi Iris!

It's a little scary! I've gotten comfortable with this rotation and it's weird to even think about doing something new! You're going to love Meso 3!
