What did you think about Hugh Jackman?

I am probably biased here because Hugh Jackman is my dreamy Hollywood favorite guy. To see him up there singing and dancing brought back some of the old glamour to the Oscars. For me, I really liked it.

My all time favorite host though, is Billy Crystal, but Hugh has become my 2nd fav!

And what do you think of Ben Stiller's spoof on Joaquin Phoenix. I thought that was hilarious.

I had no idea that is what he was doing. I was wondering WTH!!!

I thought hugh jackman was awesome!! I had no idea he could sing and dance. Yes he is very dreamy. Did you see the interview with Barbara Walters? He was so cute when he was talking about his wife.


Billy Crystal was very funny- I think he was my fav too.

Well, since Hugh Jackman is no stranger to Broadway (he has won a Tony and hosted the Tony Awards several times), I knew he could sing and dance but was really interested to see how they would incorporate that. I thought he did pretty good. I still like Billy Crystal better, but Hugh wasn't half bad. :)
 
I thought he was a natural. So classy. I agree with the OP about Billy Crystal though. He was a goodie of a host!
 
Yeah, he's hot! I'm not a big fan of musical style numbers, but it was worth it just to watch him. I didn't make it to the end, I got bored around editing or something, so I missed all the big awards near the end of the show.
 
You mean there was a show after Hugh performed? :) He's just too charming!

On another note, can someone PLEASE tell me how to put in emotion icons outside of the smiley face? I've been typing a colon and parenthesis to get this one and can't figure out any others. I don't know how put the icons at the bottom of the reply thread into my text. It keeps going elsewhere in the post. Yep, I'm just, ahem, challenged in this area. Thanks very much!

Sorry I missed him, not sorry I missed the show. The Oscars are a crashing bore, buy I DO agree with the assessment of Billy Crystal - he's one of the best, hands down!
 
I thought Hugh rocked it! What an amazing voice he has...I didn't realize how multi faceted he is! I just thought he was amazing to look at with a really sexy accent!:p In fact, he's the only reason I watched this year!
 
Hugh Jackman did a great job and kept me interested especially since I'm usually in bed by 9pm. I liked the format of the show (musical style) with the band on stage, it gave some energy to the typical awards format. It also took me a while to figure out what Ben Stiller was doing re Joaquin Phoenix.

This is the 1st Oscars I ever watched from beginning to end and it was all to see Hugh Jackman. This man is sooooooo talented. He can act, sing, dance, he's hot and I think he comes across as very kind- he's got it all.

Did you see the Barbara Walters interview? the story he told about his Dad coming to see him @ a non black tie event and his dad was was the only one in the audience wearing black tie. That choked me up.

also he and his wife adopted mixed race children because that is where the need is because nobody wants these children.

Yep he's ACES in my book.

I did not watch the Oscars - until the very end for Best Actress and Actor and Picture. Anyway, I love Hugh Jackman - he is HOT!

I missed the Oscars...for some reason I thought it was next weekend. I really wanted to watch Hugh!

Okay, when I post the icons will only post to the title (subject) and I can only select one. There are no smiles to the right that will post in the message.

Is there an option I need to turn on?

Jo ~ I think I got it. Go into User CP and Edit Options, scroll all the way down the page to Misc. options. If you have Basic selected, you will not see the smilies. I have "Enhanced" selected, but it looks like standard works too. Let me know if that workds. :D
