snack: protein shake
lunch: salad with egg whites and turkey, homemade veggie soup
snack: protein shake and apple with pb
dinner: sweet potatoe and greens with artichoke hearts, two egg whites

Hey Jes! Sounds like you're doing good with the protein! Actually...I liked the sound of your breakfast MOST OF ALL. Why are you gagging?

I had:
Meal #1: Avid Source protein bar, 2 cups cereal (1 cup Special K and 1 cup soy protein kellogs something-or-the-other)with 1 pure protein shake (instead of milk on the cereal). About 650 cals. 60 g protein.

Meal #2: 2 packs of low-fat honey graham crackers, a handful of other crackers (some walmart brand of snack crackers...no trans fats), about 1/3 jar of smuckers natural peanut butter. About 1500 cals :-( 20 g protein.

That's it for me for today. Startin' to cut some calories slowly. Eeek...that second meal was NOT good! Mmmmm...but I do love PB and crackers! Oh well...NO MORE until after the Cathe trip. I just threw the rest away in my trash can.

because i HATE oatmeal!!! i love the toast and pb part:9 i like brown sugarmaple syrup oatmeal, but alas, that is not clean is it? x(

i love graham crackers!!!! but none for me;-)

breakfast: protein shake (didn't have any appetite)
snack: 2 servings of soy nuts and bottled water
lunch: half a california roll, twice cooked pork without the rice
snack: protein shake and a whole apple
dinner: --haven't had one yet, any suggestions?-- again, not much appetite, will probably have some slow-cooking oatmeal

Man, I'll use up bandwidth with what I ate today. I can't do it by meal, it was just one long freakin' meal...

Cereal with vanilla silk soy/skim milk
12 grain toast (1 piece) with natural pb
Apple
Banana
Baby carrots (about 7 or 8)
1/2 cinnamon raisin bagel
Salad bar salad with whole grain roll (the salad was mostly steamed veggies with some wheatberry salad, half a hard boiled egg and cheese)
Low fat vanilla yogurt
2 double chocolate walnut biscotti
1 cookie
1 slice banana bread
(I told you it was bad)
Some dried apricots and almonds
Whole wheat pasta with lentils/tomatoes/green pepper

It's quite possible I'm forgetting something. I don't know what was wrong with me today, but I couldn't stop eating. Obviously:p :-(
 
Hi Jes. Well..I started another round of BFL yesterday (with my hubby). We are both DETERMINED to finsh this one once and for all! I sware this has been the never end 12 wk challenge! Time to finish this puppy!

Here's what I ate today:
M1: 2 pcs wheat toast, 2 egg whites
M2: Myoplex Lite Shake with 1/2 peach mixed in
M3: EFL Shrimp over wheat pasta (which garlic & green onions) yummy!
M4: Promax Bar
M5: Lean steak, salad and corn cut off the cob w/butter buds
M6: Myoplex Lite shake with 1/2 tsp natural lowfat peanut butter
Tons of water all day!!!! I have been peeing all night long!

Can't wait to meet you in July!
 
Lots of water with lemon juice
Big bowl of strawberries
White-bean salad with onions and peppers mixed up with salad greens
Avocado and tomato sandwich on whole-grain bread
Two ears of corn on the cob
1/4 cup almonds
A big oatmeal cookie
 
This is what I eat pretty much every day...with a little variety.

Meal 1: omelet (1/2 cup egg whites w/ 1 slice fat free cheese), 1/2 cup old fashioned oatmeal, 1 small apple
Meal 2: protein shake made w/ water, 2 slices Ezekiel bread, 1 6 oz fat free yogurt
Meal 3: salad w/ boiled (shredded) chicken, 1 slice Ezekiel bread, cut up bell pepper strips
Meal 4: protein shake made w/ water, celery, 1 tbsp natural peanut butter
Meal 5: chicken or fish (salmon or tilapia usually) w/ veggies (broccoli, asparagus, artichoke, and squash are my faves!) and sometimes 2 Boca burger patties (no bun) or steamed shrimp w/ veggies

This works great for me! About 1500-1550 cals a day. This really helps me lean out...and IMO it is yummy and it fills me up pretty good.

-1/3 cup oatmeal with 1 scoop protein powder
-Wendy's Medeterranian chicken salad with vinagrette dressing
-Protein drink with 1/2 cup brown rice thrown in (tasted like rice pudding :9 )
-6 oz orange roughy with steamed broccoli, cauliflower and red peppers
-15 almonds covered in splenda and cinnamon

Breakfast: 1/2 cup coffee w/ff creamer, oatmeal made with vanilla soy milk
Snack: 1 banana
Bad Snack: small piece of choc cake (it was my boss' b-day)
Lunch: Spinach pita pocket, grapes
Snack: 1 granny smith apple
Dinner: I'm making ham on the grill, baked potato, and fresh green beans
Snack: cheese & trisket crackers

Oh...please DO tell me all about it. Wha?? "clean" eating -- hmmm...I don't think I've ever heard of that in my over 10 years of experience with diet and exercise. I DO wish someone would set me straight. There's gotta be someone 'round here who knows all there is to know about diet and exercise, right?! And, of course, they must "walk their talk" too. Otherwise, why would I listen?

Funny stuff, Marla :) I laughed pretty hard at this one :)

1/2 c cinnamon toast crunch cereal (mmmmm)
1 c cut up fruit - kiwi, stawberries, bluberries
1 string cheese
turkey sandwich on wheat w/ reduced fat cheese
2 pickles
4 EL Fudge Smores cookies (clean eating watch out baby...)
WAY too much coffee....I'm a mom and I'll leave it at that :p

For me, today:

7:30 am: 1/2 cup old fashioned oatmeal w/ 1/2 cup soy milk (good, good...)
10:20 am: 4 walnuts (oh so good..)
11:00 am: 1/2 cup of fat free cottage cheese (oh ruppie, you are just too good...)
1:00 pm: HIBACHI lunch with fried rice and lo-mein and grilled veggies and a glass of wine (NOT only 3 oz...) and a taste of the birthday girls dessert... ( ack!!! ohhhh... (slap on wrist) there goes the day..... )

hahaha but that hibaci guy sure did a good show of tossing food around!!! Hehehehehheee there was a HUGE bowl of butter on his little rolly tray that he brings around, and I was like 'I HOPE that's ice cream!!!!'

For me today:
scrambled egg beaters w/one veggie sausage link and one Nutrigrain waffle, with a bit of smartbeat spread
roasted chicken on whole wheat toast with tomato and some grapes
snack: Kashi bar
Dinner: (lunch was yummy, so I did that again), half a pear, some strawberries with lite Coolwhip
snack 2: Probably a yogurt with a sprinkle of Kashi go lean crunch
Lots of water....a good day for me!! Have a nice evening! Donna
