What Cathe move can you just NOT do - or know you look hilarious while you try?

No matter how hard I try - and how slow I go - I can NOT do fast foot repeaters on Step Blast. I just stick with regular repeaters.

What about you?
 
I always fall off the ball trying to do the one-legged pikes in Ab Circuits!

Me too on the one-legged pikes, as well as the long-lever levitation holds in the Yoga-Based Ab Circuits.

I'm sure I look like a drunkard on a rope bridge in MANY of the Cathe cardio routines, especially where fancier footwork is involved, but screw 'em - that's why I work out at home. Only DH, me and my five other personalities around to laugh at me.

tuck jumps!!!

i start off doing the first few ok....but but the end i feel like i look like an elephant trying to jump!:p
 
Funny you should ask this question!

I cannot do levitation holds, one legged pikes, or tuck jumps (I do half tucks ;) oh and I try, I try, I try!)! There are others I do but I'm sure I look like a floundering fool such as: flying jacks, and plie jacks!

Regarding the one legged pikes...my mind thinks it can do it, but the leg that needs to go vertical refuses to move! But on the bright side, I used to not be able to do pikes at all so progress is being made! :D However, the levitation holds may have to remain an elusive dream! Oh, I also suck at the horizontal jumps on interval 4 in Imax 3. I have to do an extra jump to get the length of my step.

Oh gee, the list is too long to post here! :p

At the top of the list would certainly be:

Levitation holds -- any kind!
One-legged pikes -- TWO-legged pikes with good form are still in the single digits for me!
That evil move in Ab Circuits weights and plates where you pull up into a pike with your toes on the paper plate, then slide out your legs out to a 45-degree angle and (supposedly) back to the center, then out 45 degrees to the other side, etc. That 45-degree thing --- wow. Not happenin' yet and the attempt is NOT pretty!!
Corkscrew hip lifts from Core Max and their first cousin, the corkscrew-style oblique lifts from Ab Circuits (I think they're in the "no equipment" segment)

I could go on and on, but it's depressing me! ;)
 
I can't remember what it's from, but aren't there tricep dips with feet on the stability ball somewhere? I cannot do those to save my life. Feet just won't stay on that dang ball, whether I anchor it or not.

I haven't tried the one legged pikes yet (kinda scared to), but I have a feeling they will need to be added to the list.
 
I could not do levitation holds either but then I tried doing them in the lotus position instead of just crossed legs and this really helped...I thought it would have been harder but I think having my feet kind of pinned in that position helped hold them still and kept me from trying to lose my balance.

I can't remember what it's from, but aren't there tricep dips with feet on the stability ball somewhere? I cannot do those to save my life. Feet just won't stay on that dang ball, whether I anchor it or not.

That would be on the 4DS Jodi. I could do them a while back but haven't done them in so long I probably can not now.

I can not do power lunges or air jacks for the life of me :eek:
 
Huh, pretty much everything you guys have mentioned-- my tuck jumps are RIDICULOUS! Jodi, thanks for mentioning those tricep dips with the feet on the ball- holy night, that is NOT happening. Also, I would try to argue that pushups on the ball (without it being anchored or braced) are somehow impossible if I hadn't seen Cathe and crew actually DO IT. Drat.
 
There are a number of moves I simply cannot do - so I don't look ridiculous at what I can't do, BUT . . .

I KNOW I don't look like anything close to a boxer in any of the Kick boxing workouts !:rolleyes: Dork, yes, boxer, NO !

Working up a sweat and feeling sore in the AM is what I aim for, LOL ! :p
 
LMAO at "drunkard on a rope bridge"!

I once fell backwards on my butt doing straddle taps...while DH happened to be watching. Total wipe out, managed to hit the step on the way down.

Are levitation holds where you put your hands under your hips and lift your legs up, like in yoga? I JUST figured out to lift my folded legs first, then push with my hands. Was not working trying to do it simultaneously.

the one I can't do is side lying one arm push ups, while I'm trying to concentrate on work with my arm, my lower body keeps rocking,besides the pike I only can do one and then no way,very hard and those 30 push ups that Cathe does like nothing OMG...
 
i feel like such a stomping horse whenever i have to 'cha-cha' down the board:eek:and Cathe and crew seem to do it so gracefully...

I can't do 'tap dance' move at the end of the third combo on C&W...i just do a repeater there. I can do the tap dance with my right leading..but not my left.

Two moves I can't stand are the power squats and the dynamic outer thigh...ugh,not a happy camper doing them.

I also feel like such a dork doing boxer type stuff...I did 4DS not too long ago and i almost uppercut myself in the eye:eek: it was fun though...

LOL Amelia! I have punched myself in the chin doing uppercuts!
 
My personal favorite images are:

The first time I did Boot Camp the Original, I decided to redesign cardio interval #5 to mean "Squat-Thrust-Belly-Flop";

AND

The story a friend told me and others about her son watching her gut her way through a high-impact Cathe routine: he stood there for a minute and then said, "Mom . . . don't you know that your feet are supposed to leave the ground?"
