What are your plans for the Holiday week (end)?

For me, I will work through Friday. Saturday, the plan is go to the Alma Highland Festival and Games at Alma College. Sunday, church and maybe the beach. Monday, recovery day and clean up.
What are your plans for the start of summer?

DH and I are off to Atlantic City with my mom and her BF for the weekend. We both work on Friday but I only work in the morning so I will take DS over to my MIL's in the afternoon as she is going to babysit. DH gets home from work around 4pm but we are not planning to head out until 8 or so...we don't want to sit in the crazy shore traffic if we don't have to! We plan to stay the full weekend! }(

THIS is my holiday weekend:) It's Victoria Day here in the Great White North, so we Canadians get today off, not next Monday.

I'm heading out to work outside since it's nice and sunny today. First though, I'm doing the GS upper body workouts.

My husband is a BBQ caterer so this is his busy season and we will be working Friday, Saturday, Sunday and Monday.

My nephew graduates from HS on Saturday, so my Saturday will be full of his graduation and then his graduation party. He is 10 years younger than me and was my first nephew, so he is my BABY. Sunday will probably be spent mowing grass (weather permitting) and other yard/house work. We will most likely have a cook out at my parents house on Monday. Oh, and I plan to get some workouts in as well! ;)

I'm taking Friday off for a 4-day weekend! I called and my health club is open every day except Monday. I'm planning lots of cardio, strength training and book reading. My favorite kind of weekend. :D

I am flying to Indiana on Sat. I will be finding and buying a house. YAY!!! We are moving when DS gets out of school. I can't wait to get back to IN so we will be close to family.

This is the first summer of my adult life I don't have a beach rental. I decided it was time to act like a grown up & start putting that money away for retirement. I'm already feeling a little depressed about the upcoming weekend. Normally I'd be spending the next week packing up my car w/all my beach stuff. :-(

So this holiday weekend I'll be exercising, probably I'll color my hair, maybe visit w/some family & friends, & nap a lot.

We're driving out to MI to visit my husband's family. We'll be there about ten days. We only see them twice a year at best, so this will be some nice family time together.

I'll be hanging out with a good friend while my SO is out of town. When he returns on Sunday we will be starting our garden which will hopefully include corn, tomatoes, okra, lettuce, and a few other goodies. Exciting, aren't I?

To hide!!! Seriously!! I sunburn at the drop of the hat, so I will be hiding from the sunshine. I'm not into hot weather (c'mon December) so I will be hiding from the outside. And my in laws are picnic fanatics who feel it necassary to hug you every time you enter a room (uh, I just left to pee??) so I will be hiding from them. Other than that I may have to work Sat and Mon - at least a quick in and out. So hopefully I can hide from that, too!!

DH and I are headed to Charleston, SC for the wedding of some good friends. We'll drive up Saturday and back on Monday. Should be a lot of fun. :)

Well, we're thinking of becoming tourists in our own city. There are so many places here that we never (or rarely) go, so I'm thinking we may just take in some of the history that Richmond has to offer.

Maybe a picnic on the grounds of Agecroft, a 15th Century English house that was brought here in the early 1900s. Beautiful views of the river--it's a country estate right in the city.

The Edgar Allen Poe museum, the Virginia Museum of Fine Arts, the Farmer's Market, and Hollywood Cemetary (which is actually my very favorite place in Richmond). Maybe check out the newly renovated Capitol. And I've never been to St. John's Church where Patrick Henry gave the "give me liberty or give me death" speech, even though I have friends who live practically next door to it!!!! (And I'm married to a history major...what's wrong with us!!!! ) And maybe take advantage of the James River, which runs straight through the downtown area, and go kayaking. All this stuff is less than five miles from my house!!

Yep, it's time to do what I do when we visit other cities and countries...I'm going to the places that out-of-towners visit when they come to my hometown!

Michelle,

Where in Italy are you going? I just returned from a 2-week vacation to Venice, Florence, and Rome this past Saturday! You will have a blast!!! :) :)

I'm celebrating my birthday this weekend by losing the weight I gained in Italy. I hope to do some hiking and some Cathe workouts. Oh, I'm also going to see Spiderman 3 on the IMax screen. :)
