going to the movies(much less often now days)
teaching a special needs Sunday School class
chatting on-line with my sister in Romania
eating M&M's...trying to do this less often
hiking(don't get to do this ofetn, but LOVE it when I get to go)
thinking up the next rotation I'm going to follow
eating out with friends
baking cookies...again less often these days

that's all I can think of at this point!

This IS a fun post! I've enjoyed reading everyone's answers.

Many of my hobbies are tied to Spanish, a language I began learning almost ten years ago and in which I am now fluent. Accordingly, I

--read novels and poetry (a big Elena Poniatowska fan and also really like Gabriel Garcia Marquez & Neruda),
--try to read newspaper articles everyday (prefer La Jornada),
--travel to Mexico (I've probably been to more Mexican states than American ones),
--listen to rock en espanol (Cafe Tacuba, Aterciopelados, Julieta Venegas, Moenia, Maldita Vecindad, Caifanes, & Jaguares are some of my favorite groups)
--and, of course, I wouldn't miss my "novela", even if it is terribly silly.

Another thing I love to do is find new programs to record w/ TIVO. I do all kinds of searches for programs and have found a variety of fun shows (some I had never even heard of) to record and watch (w/o commercials). I record every Spanish music video program available through my cable package and watch them as I get ready for work in the morning (I run a keyword search for "videos" or "musica" to find all of them. Some are even shown on English-language stations, strangely enough.) I also record every episode of "The Practice" and watch at least one each day.

By the way, to the scubadivers, I did an open water course this summer in Playa del Carmen, Quintana Roo, Mexico and loved it! I've been meaning to do some more scubadiving but haven't gotten around to it. If you don't mind, I'll have to consult some of you more experienced divers when I decide (get the funds) to dive again.
