What are you doing for Valentine's Day?

dh and i haven't made any plans, but he was gone last year so we didn't do anything special. i am hoping he's here this year. this has been my favorite holiday since i was a little girl. are you doing anything fun?

I am planning to go to an Arts & Crafts store & buy a bunch of cute little stamps & good paper & make some personalized Valentine cards for some of the people I work with & some other depts. I might even get some chocolates or something just to show my love for 'em. I've never done this before, but for some reason I'm just really appreciative lately.

That reminds me, I'm thinking of getting DH a Lazy-Boy recliner, because I know he would absolutely love it AND because I absolutely appreciate him but I just never do much to show it.

OT_ does anyone know anything about Lazy-Boys or recliners?

Alas Australians dont aknowledge Valetines Day like you guys do, so we will be doing NOTHING (very cheap that!)

It's my little boy's birthday on Valentine's Day! He's my little sweetie pie! He turns 9! We're having his party the Saturday before and on Valentine's Day, we're taking him out to his favorite restaurant.

Great 2 C U here! Been missing you. I cannot believe it has almost been a year since you sent those pix of Nick's party last year. Wow! It flew by! We usually go out with the SAME friends for Valentine's Day every year for the last 10 years or so, but they got divorced this past year! :-( Soooo, I KNOW we won't be with them. Not even sure what day it falls this year?? If it is a weekend, we will most likely do our movie-thing.

Well my DH is out to sea for Valentines this year but I am going to send him a package next week. :) This is our first time being apart like this and I miss him very much but I am so lucky to have really good people here to keep me company. He called me yesterday and my phone was buried in my purse so I missed him :( ... but my DH knows me well (I am always scrambling for that phone!) and he called me again! hee hee! It was so wonderful to hear his voice! And he also has email which I am so thankful for!

I don't know...but my husband has told me 2 times that he is already planning something for Valentines. Hmmmm.....

Cathy...I'm glad your hubby called back. Email is the best. That is how I stay in touch with my family....my sister and her family are in Romania and my brother is in Ammam Jordan right now.

Well my birthday is that same weekend, so we are going to go out with friends for either Thai or Japanese food. Then we will probably end up going down to Atlantic City and spend the night. The Monday of Valentine's we are spending with the kids. I am going to surprise them with candy and a toy & then let them pick a place to go out to dinner. I love Valentines day!!

Marion, one word comes to my head. CHEEESSSSSYYYYYYY!

The sad part is, I think my DH would actually love that. You know what girl? My DH is getting his Lazy-Boy recliner & ME with three big hearts. He would absolutely die in happiness. Thanks for the idea. I'll let you know how it goes. I just don't do much for him during the normal holidays so I really want to show my love this time.

Yes my husband is in the military -- he's in the navy. My sailor! It is the first time he has served on a ship and the first time we've been apart for a big stretch. Thank you so much for the kind words! I will pass it on to him :)

My husband is so cute. Every year he makes me something in his shop. Usually something heart shaped. Last year he wrote my name in neon lights on our back fence inside a heart.

We take a romantic bath together every year with candles, champagne and bubbles.

No it's not but that doesn't stop people at work from calling me CandyKane....especially at Christmas, LOL!
