What are you buying for summer???

I don't buy clothes until everything I have is absolutely falling apart, holey, or so baggy it is falling off of me. Shopping = hell!

Frustrated here.

I have been shopping for clothes for the last 2 days and the only thing I purchased was a book. I can't seem to decide what I really like anymore.

Melody,

I'm with you - I have such a hard time shopping b/c I don't know what I like anymore either. What the heck is up with that? I see things on people that I like, but then I can't ever decide on things for myself. I was never like that before!

Susan,

If you find the answer to our deep dilema, please post, because I haven't got a clue as to what the problem is. Really, I don't because I can wear off the rack with no problem, but nothing screams "buy me" when I put it on.

Well, I recently tried on all of my shorts from before I was preggy and they all fit or are a little loose :+ so I will probably not buy many shorts. I have already purchased several T's from Old Navy and hope to get a gift card for them on my B'day so I will go look around to see what other cute tops they have there. I already bought a bathing suit for this summer and have tons of summer shoes that rarely get worn so no worries there. Gee...I guess there's not much for me to buy! BUMMER! :p

I love the cute little tops and outfits at Ann Taylor Loft, but if I wore that stuff to work, I would freeze my butt off. The AC just blasts away in my office. Last summer I wore summer clothes for my commute and as soon as I got to work I would layer on sweatpants and a fleece top--or I would put a big fleece blanket on my legs. This year I'm not even going to bother shopping for summer clothes for work. Why bother when it all gets covered by ratty wool sweaters anyhow. I do need some shorts and t-shirts for the weekends, though.

ETA: OK, I just read that over...what a downer! Sorry! I'm just a bit pissed off because it was 50 degrees today and the heat wasn't on in our offices, but they had the vent system blowing full blast and it was freezing. I find it very depressing.

Same here, Bunbun. I've been freezing my tuchus off at the office this week. And I usually freeze all summer long. I often wear winter clothes in the office during the summer. Sigh. How cool would life be if we could all just wear uniforms?

In the summer, tank tops and shorts, because it is too hot for anything else. I try to find tank tops that have good coverage and are not low cut, and I don't want to wear daisy dukes either. I have a whole bunch of tanks from Ann Taylor that I bought last summer, and I need a few new pairs of shorts. I also bought some adorable jeans skirts in Ann Taylor Loft last year, and they are in great condition.

I try to be as cool as possible, as the NYC summers are miserable hot and humid.

I spend about 200-300 on clothes in the Spring. But, my bday is in April (it is on Easter this year) so I spend most of my bday money on clothes.

I always shop on my bday and Christmas. Then, I will buy random items here and there throughout the year like jeans, shoes, new shirt, belt, etc. Sometimes something will come up, like a wedding, and I will need a whole new outfit!

I don't know if you saw above, but I responded to your question last night. Those khaki capris that roll up are in style this season and very cute!!! Another hot item with capris are the denim ones that are rolled with a cuff....do you know what I mean?

Thank you for the response, I did not see the response on the Khaki pants. I am glad those are in again this year, now I just need to loose weight so I can fit into them. LOLOL

Yes, I know what jeans you are taking about.
