What are the "<-----" posts about?

I keep seeing the posts that have <--- in the subject line and all the way down the side ... what does "<---" mean? I was away from the forum for a long time and when I came back I started seeing these messages ... anyway I have just gotten more and more curious and I can't figure it out! Somebody clear it up for me?

Just a way of communicating with each other (many of us) at one time on one thread. <-- represents you, your name... i.e. <--- had trouble getting out of bed this morning. It is just a running conversation between any of us that want to participate.

What Jane said It's not complicated. The arrows are pointing to you, so you talk about yourself in the third person. And everyone is free to join in. It's just a way of telling each other what's going on in our day. Basically, it's a chat thread
