^^We're MELTING on Monday!^^

*waves*

HI! Welcome back TA-NEE-AH!!!! We missed you!

Allie has a boyfriend, Allie has a boyfriend!

*runs back out*

Hooray for Tneah being back! (Sorry I had to say it again 'cos I'm so dang excited that she's back and we get to meet!!) Yipeeeee!

LOL about Allie and her new BF k-i-s-s-i-n-g in a tree!:+

Ah, how about some nasty CHOCOLATE store-bought cake icing, too . . . . Or that thick, white nasty stuff they always put on the top of those holiday sugar cookies at the grocery store bakeries. YUUUUMMMM! :9 Hey, wait! I thought we were supposed to be melting! ;-)

Leanne – My MIL has done some of that silver work as well. She has some sort of tumbler thing to polish it too. She’s pretty talented with that kiln, I have to say. She’s taken to melting wine bottles and turning them into cheese trays. She takes the label off, then somehow puts the label back on when it’s all flat. She’s melted a few large vodka bottles too. See, we have to keep drinking wine so she has something to melt. Rough job. }(

I think the semicolon is pretty darn nifty; practicing various ways to use it is a good idea. Leanne? Critique??? (not grammar, just semicolon usage!) ;-) ( <---at least I know I used it correctly there)

Hey – that med ball workout sounds cool. I need to branch out a little more. I took a break from Cathe and have been just doing iTreads and iCycles, but I really shouldn’t focus so much one way or the other. There’s a little room for all of it, no? I really do love to kickbox – I’m SO not cute doing it, but I really feel tough! Ok – not so tough… but I have fun!

I have been taking a Core Fusion class on Saturday mornings from one of my former trainers. She doesn’t personal train so much now that she has an infant, but she’s teaching this kick butt class. It’s kind of a cross between Pilates (which I used to be a faithful Pilates-doer at a studio and everything), yoga and ballet (but not the tutu kind of ballet, more like stretching and small movement). I have an iTread ballet that I haven’t tried that sounds like it has lots of moves we do in Core Fusion. Gotta whip that one out soon. Anybody ever do that one or one like it?

Allie – where in the world do you live? A/C out for 2 or 3 days in Texas is like a death sentence. I can’t believe it’s going to take that long. Is this an office building? SO SORRY!!!!! I’m sending you icy cool vibes. Chilly.

TaNeeAh – :) okay, so I was right. :) That’s how I was saying it! Not that I think I’m some sort of genius – obviously – had to ASK. Don’t know if I’m ready for Kim Oddo yet. Maybe sometime I’ll pick your brain more about it – and compare it to a program I did a few years back. And dearie, you are far from weeny! You’re a rock star.

:+

Whew. Got the chores done...in the heat, very sleepy now, detest summer, much more of a winter/fall type of gal, am already looking forward to Thanksgiving, my favorite (well Halloween too, and Christmas!)I love the smell in the air during that time of year. And the food, the decorations, the everything! Summer is obnoxious to me.

Guess what just arrived? Amy's All Pump Extreme, Slo-Mo and some weird Callanetics workout, I think its like that really old one, but updated, alot of isometric moves. Think I might skip the ME tonight and do the legs from Slo-Mo after hearing Shellers rave about it!

BG, You are silly, rockstar? Oh sure. More like "dork".:p You tickle me with your semi-colon talk.:) So what body type do you have and what has Pilates done for your body? Leaned it out? I always toy with the idea of resorting to doing cardio and Pilates/Sqeeze type workouts only...but know I would miss my weights, I am and always will be a "old school" type of exerciser I think.:) You can pick my brain any ole time, I would love to complain about the program, lord knows these women heard it for 12 weeks, every single day!;)

MMMMM....store bought cake frosting, chocolate or not...I was in the grocery store and was tempted to just go "look" at the pretty cakes...I resisted and bought broccoli instead.

:p Hey, anyone have Amy's All Pump Extreme? If you do, do you like it?

Leanne, is BIL sitting around your house all day long? Oh good god, that would be just too, too much...you need to go get a dog, one that loves you and DH but hates BIL..maybe one that would growl at him and then hump his leg or something.:7 Is he allergic to anything? Find out and then proceed to gather the offending allergens and spread them around the house...just some evil ideas, I know! I am so mean, not really, but I am on "Team Leanne" here!:*

Tneah - I could have written that first paragraph myself. Except I would have used many more parenthetical remarks and probably a few misused semicolons. :7 I LOVE FALL!!!!!! Everything about it. I'm not so much a summer gal either - don't want to have to face the dreaded "shorts" and all that sticky humidity...

I'm an apple. I guess. Not a crispy one though! A soft one. Seriously, I feel like I build muscle pretty well in upper body, but not so much lower body. I have small legs and I can't get hard definition in them it seems. And we will NOT discuss my feelings regarding my rear view. That will take years of therapy to correct. x( Carry my fat as a thin layer over everything, but larger amounts settle in my middle (both front and back). Although technically nobody would call me fat. Am I making sense?

Pilates? LOVED it. I had a great instructor and we did mostly mat with some reformer work (he also had us on the Cadillac a few times, which was really cool). Yes, exactly - I got lean and small. And core work was NOTHING for me. I was so strong. I felt "long" but I am not really long, if that makes any sense. Have you ever seen a long apple? I mean, c'mon - you'd run the other way! :+

Do you have a studio near you that you wanted to try? To me, Pilates is something that I need an instructor for. It's not the DVD kinda thing for me.

Oh Lordy, I'm going to be in soooo much trouble. I just preordered Tracey's med ball workout and the steady state step one. DH is not going to be happy with me; he thought STS was too much; I've probably spent that much on Amy and Tracey workouts since STS was announced. How's that for semicolon use?

BG, Apple shape huh? Which means you have fabulous legs, lucky girl. Even though you probably think you do not...cause thats just how we all are...but I would kill for skinny legs. I am a big ole' heffa...part German with a tendency towards bulkiness and heft...all wrapped up with two triple digit ta-ta's.:7 I suppose I am a ruler type (cause I have no hips to speak of) and my waist isn't super small...it only looks that way thanks to my store-bought boobs.;)

Well, everything is packed once again (after I unpacked, I had to repack) oh, and we will have over 14 people wandering around the boat on the 14th....yippee skippy, I think they will actually go to the hotel to meet and eat though, I cannot imagine there would be room on the boat for us all...oh dear, its starting already....DH loves to have people "down to the boat"...Me? Not so much, I am much more hermit like than my DH.

OK, off to tackle one of my new workouts..

Ha ha! I cleverly told DH about the workout pre-orders at dinner, with Jay. He frowned, but couldn't really scold me. DH and DD were whining about not having any oreos in the house. I told DH I stopped buying them, because he told me to try to cut back on the grocery bill. DD suggested I buy oreos instead of workouts. Like that will ever happen!

Isn't it funny how different all of our bodies are? And not one of us is happy with what we have. I'm all bottom. Big fat thighs and made-to-bear-children hips, with teeny tiny boobs. But I do like my shoulders.

Clever woman that Robin!;) Way to go! And cudo's to you for keeping the Oreos outta the house and using that "grocery bill money" on your workouts..very nice, very nice...

I love to buy the double stuffed ones and eat just the centers out of them...so does my DH, so needless to say, I never buy them..

So I just did Amy's Slo-Mo legs. Review? Innovative exercises that killed my lower back, but that is because my lower back is really pathetic anyway. It was okay, alot of sets of the same exercises, I found myself getting a bit impatient with those jefferson squat things, plus they pulled my back even though I sucked my gut in. Hum. And some of the moves are pretty strange to get a handle on, but I will do this one again for sure. A nice break from straight on low end squats and the leg presses Cathe is so fond of.,,,bless her little heart.}( Gonna do back and shoulders tomorrow, I was watching it and liked the way she uses such different moves...nice change.

OK, so DH told me this weekend that on my program I got "too bulky". Uh, what!!!??? Leaner, yes, bulkier? Is that what people mean by defined? I asked him how that could be when my bodyfat was alot lower, to which he replied, "I don't know, but you looked bulkier". Whatever dude.
What the hell does that mean? I think he likes me "softer looking" is how he explained it. OK. Geez, you all know how paranoid I get about this crap. I am watching my muscle definition disappear in my arms, they are not as sharp as they were, but whatever. I am kinda getting tired of worrying about it. All my clothes fit...BUT, I am still watching my diet right along with you guys!

I have made up for lost "melty thread" time with all of my posts today haven't I? I am waiting for the pics so I can show you guys...:7

Hmm, wonder if I can catch up with all the action here today.

The pavers got a lot done today--at least as far as tearing out old stuff and digging down. They also took out a little tree (that was in a very odd spot anyway and an old moldy stump. They're also running pipes from some of the gutters out to the back of the yard so that the gutters don't spill on to the new stones and erode them. Something like that. Still, he plans to be done before Friday. http://planetsmilies.net/happy-smiley-8815.gif

BreckGirl, I also recommend In the Ring. Of course, my very favorite Amy workout is ASCII--so fun--if you like step. I should have had braces 20 years ago, but it just didn't happen (parents were poor teachers with 8 kids and lived in the country, blah blah blah). So now that I'm 33, I just went and got them. Mine are crooked plus I have an overbite, too severe for Invisalign. So mine are all metal, baby. DH keeps comparing me to Ugly Betty--esp. when I wear my glasses, too. Ugh.

Allie and Jim, sittin' in a tree. Oh wait, Tneah already used that, didn't she? I like the name Jim--reminds me of Jim from The Office. http://planetsmilies.net/obscene-smiley-1015.gif

Leanne, ok, you keep me away from more KB workouts for now! It's not like I actually need new workouts, considering how many I own that I haven't even tried yet! (Don't tell cheap DH.) Did I mention I ordered another pair of Rykas? Behold: http://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&rd=1&item=370043342718&ssPageName=STRK:MEWA:IT&ih=024 God bless Walking Sue. I might need advice pre-RT on how many pairs of Rykas to bring with me.... I will have 6 pairs now.

Tneah, yeah I hate dealing with my hair in humidity. That's the best thing about moving out of Houston--much better hair on average. Oh girl, don't let the hubby's comment get to you. I'm sure he didn't mean anything bad by it--he obviously knows you are gorgeous all the time but men do often seem to like those soft parts, don't they? It's better than my situation when my DH would probably prefer me to be much less soft--or at least to have less of me.... I still got lots of poundage to drop. http://planetsmilies.net/sad-smiley-17025.gif

Robin, I just don't mention what I buy to DH. Of course, he sees the expenditures on our online bank statements.... He doesn't ask about it as much as he used to, at least. When it starts getting too bad, he starts to nag, though. He was surprised to see me flipping through my workout DVD binder, though, as he hadn't realized quite how many I owned. He still didn't see quite how many, though. http://planetsmilies.net/vicious-smiley-1783.gif

OK, I'm going to leave you with the nipply chick again: http://planetsmilies.net/obscene-smiley-1023.gif
