We're In This Together ~~MAY~~

Hi Natty,
Yes, there already is pressure to post although I don't have followers per say. The exposure is slow going. My topic hits home with many people I know. On Word press, it gives stats but I know have it listed on Linked in as a unpaid position.
I have given my website URL to the Governor and others on Twitter.

Also ice skating has to be in your blood, it's in mine.

Too cold for an Ice Capp.

Yesterday was a weird day for me. I put off working out because I just felt so tired. But I did end up doing LLB. So true I always regret not exercising but never regret it once it's done. However I did opt not to go to Zumba. About half way through the day I started texting my sister. She found some emails her husband had sent another woman that works at their local Starbucks. Let me just say, pretty sure their marriage is over. It is her 2nd marriage, she has been married to this one for 13 years. It has been rocky for 12. She just didnt want another failed marriage so she hung on. Even before she found the texts yesterday, they had a convo about separating.

Nat - I'm not sure what I want in my next rotation, except to use some of the DVD's I havent done for awhile. So I might just use FF formula and make my own. Happy anniversary. I feel the same way, very thoughtful with the flowers, but do you think that was just easier to get that than a gift cert for Cathe? Because that would be the truth for my hubby. So sweet of him to notice and comment on your UB muscles ; )

Colleen - I'm positive about not being pregnant. I need another kid like I need a hole in my head. OO that sounded bad. Once I started getting pregs, I was fertile Myrtle. So I knew, I HAD TO GET FIXED. I love AT too, your making me miss it.

Jen - Did you have a nice time with your mom? Is the raspberry white a tea bag? Because that sounds good. I can never resist Rice Krispy treats homemade. But the store bought ones just dont taste good to me. Fluffer Nutters are delicious too. They are Rice Krispy treats made with peanut butter. Everything is better with PB ; )

Today is Cyclemax. Still feeling very tired. Maybe I need to do a rest week, after next week.

omg, Sarah you crack me up! lol I know what you mean about being Fertile Myrtle after the first baby. Watch out Natty! I got pregnant really easily after Dylan, too. I couldn't tolerate birth control anymore after I hit 30. I tried an IUD, various pills, the patch, the ring...it all messed me up and gave me weird migraines. I just decided to let fate decide what would happen and went off all birth control. I was off it for just a month and BAM! Hello Lydia! We decided two was plenty. I have a feeling if Mark hadn't gotten the old vasectomy we'd have a pretty crowded house now! I can't tell you how many people I know who, after having a difficult time with getting pregnant at first, suddenly had a much easier time getting pregnant afterwards. For some people, it's like a dam that's burst!

Today's workout was Kettlebell Kickboxing. There are 4 workouts in that series and I've totally loved them all. Not to be enabling or anything...;) I think tomorrow I may pull out Jillian's 6 week 6 pack. Fridays I have hardly any time in the morning and will often take a second rest day (Mondays are my usual rest day) but that 30 minute time frame will be doable I think. Then Saturday I want to do Drill Max!

Jen- I love rice krispie treats! I don't have much of a sweet tooth but those are yummy! Especially homemade like Sarah said, the store bought ones I can resist pretty easily. It sounds like your blogging is going well. That's great! Hopefully it will lead to more contacts and opportunities.

Sarah- I'm so sorry about your sister. My sister just got divorced this year and it's been pretty tough. She has a new boyfriend who has a daughter about the same age as my niece. It's been awkward because it's so sudden and we are all trying to get our bearings and get used to this new guy...it seems like he isn't going anywhere:confused:. I don't change my pictures that I have up very often and I still have pictures up of her ex-husband and they'll even scroll on my computer pics of him and my sister and niece. Like I said...awkward!

Natty- what a sweetie your hubby is for getting you flowers! I know they die and all, but it sure does feel good to get surpised with a flower delivery, isn't it? :D Just a few more days before you and Jen are hitting it with Meso 2. Getting excited? Watch out for those DOMS from that first leg disc! Killer!!

Later girls!

Good morning ladies :)

Yesterday w/o was MMA Kickbox. Ha, I finally found a use for it! STS recovery steady state cardio! That was bad hun? Actually, besides dancy combo #3 (which I just can't wrap my brain around), it was pretty fun. The ab section at the end was perfect. I was looking on youtube at CatheTV, and she was talking about recovery week and how we should enjoy any cardio we like, but NO weight lifting. I thought hiit and intervals were out of the question? I wouldn't mind doing hiit Pyramid or something this week .

Gloomy day here. Rainy and cool. Yoga or steady state cardio later on.

Sarah
I'm so sorry to hear about your sister. I'm not against people getting divorced, as it usually seems to be in the best interest for both parties involved. I hope they separate amicably, especially if kids are involved.
Thanks for the anniversary wishes too.
All your talk about CycleMax and I get jealous. I shall have my spin bike one day :(.
Colleen
LOL you are too funny about the kids! I don't have that strong desire to have another TBH. When I see babies, I don't get that warm and fuzzy feeling. I'm just glad they're not mine :D. I always get ragged on by other people saying my daughter will be selfish, introverted and not social. That's a load of horse s**t. My daughter shares her toys with all the kids at the park, she plays nicely with them and is very outgoing. If anything, she acts better than most of the other kids who have brothers/sisters. I was an only child for 16 years and was not like that. It all depends on the child's personality and how the parents raise them.
Every time I walk by The Kettle Bell Club near my house, I think of you ;)
Jen
I'm ready for M2!!!! Bring it on baby!!! I was previewing the discs and lets just say I wanted to bust out my barbell and start doing chest presses .

Have a great day :)

Happy June 1st Today!! Cold and rainy here with the heat on.
From my blogging, I communicated with a company whom I am following on Twitter. They told me their CEO had a blogg by tweeting, I responded so did I. They asked me to apply to the company. Unusual for me.
Love/hate relationship with my calorie counter app on my phone. Now, if I am EVEN thinking about going out, I check the calories ahead of time. Tim Horton's isn't too bad except for the donuts and the ice capp supreme.
For the record, I buy the rice krispie treats from the store instead of making them at home. It regulates my calories better plus none of that stuff can be in my home but the homemade ones are to die for. For a small square using regular butter, it's 90 calories per my app.
Sarah-Sorry for your sister. Rough thing to go through especially finding those emails. Some men want to be caught.
Colleen-Just can't get into Kettle bells. I have room for them but like pilates, not for me yet.
Natty-Take one day rest before starting 2. You can handle it, I know. Weight increase plus things get a bit more intense.

Working out fools the body's time clock. At 50, no signs of menopause for me. My Doc told me it was because of fitness and somewhat healthy eating. Started working out in 1989 with Cher, Gin Miller and Jane Fonda. So, yes you should be concerned with pregnancy even into your 30s....

Happy Friday!:D

I did manage to get Jillian's 6 wk 6 pk in today. I was sooo tired this morning I'm amazed I actually did it! Mark and I found a new show we're binging on dvd and it's hard not to stay up too late! I kept hearing how good the Game of Thrones was so I went out and bought the first season. It is really good but lots and lots of violence and sex...probably not for everybody! Also, we can't start watching it until the kids are fast asleep so we've been staying up way too late this week. I really like it because I love all that fantasy stuff. I was obsessed with the Lord of the Rings when it came out. Yup, nerd girl pops her head up again!

Jen- I love that you started out working with Cher! Didn't she have a step video out back then? I seem to remember doing that one at one point in my life and really liking it! It's funny because I started out in high school doing these two videos I got from a friend. I can totally remember the workouts but for the life of me can't remember what they were called or who the instructor was. Then I discovered Kathy Smith and Karen Voigt step videos in college. I did the same 5 or 6 videos over and over back then. Not nearly as much choice as we have now!

Natty- I think it's okay to do Hiit this week if you want to. It all depends on how you feel. As long as it's not weights your good to do whatever you want during recovery week, I believe. Go for it! As far as only children, I wouldn't worry about it either! It's all how you raise your kids. Plus, only children are often pretty successful when they grow up, too!

Have a great day ladies!

I listening to my MIL on speaker phone look through the phone book. I rather be hitting my head repeatedly against the wall. Uh oh I'm being mean again but come on, really?

Since it's June 1st, I decided to weigh myself. A little gone but not alot overall I'm pretty happy. I want to lose that last 5 though. I'm thinking completely change it up. Either a circuit rotation, Bootcamp 2005 (this almost looks impossible), Oct 2011, Nov 2011, April 2011, or FF Cardio coach get ready for summer.
If one of you wants to chime in, I'm all for suggestions.

You totally right about having the premade ones already portioned out and not having the stuff around Jen.

I did those same DVD's way back. I can remember Karen Voight wearing a red leotard. I think the person with Cher was blond.

Nat - It's just about the kid and how she's raised. My kids aren't the best for sharing and I think it's because they have to all the time. Where as maybe your daughter likes when she has someone to play with she is very willing to share. I think being a mother is always trading one worry for another. But there is always something on our minds. Besides just because a child is spoiled doesn't mean she'll be a spoiled adult, I am that case in point. Except I am a little spoiled when it comes to getting my Cathe DVDs. : )

Hi everyone :)

I'm going to start a June thread tomorrow if that's ok?

Colleen
I'm just ending S2 of Game of Thrones! It's friggin' awesome! S1, IMO has more action and S2 is a little slow to get started. Sunday is the season finale and finally the action returns! I was a bit peeved telling Mark I can't believe they're gonna end the season like that . It is very gory and sexual, you're right. I'm not complaining though :D. Don't the women have incredible bodies? ;).
LOTR is my favorite trilogy! I remember going to the theater opening day to watch all 3 . I love fantasy and sci-fi, but for some reason I can't get into Star Trek . Star Wars is cool though . Matrix is awesome. Oh the list goes on...
Jen
Perhaps something positive will turn out if you apply for the company. You never know unless you try!
Tim Horton's has a lot of healthy options. I've never had the Ice Capp Supreme .
It's wonderful you started working out at a young age. Plus, you don't look your age!! You should be very proud :)
Sarah
I get the same feeling when I talk to my mother, not MIL (is that bad?).
Congrats on the weight loss! Even a little is great! The last 5 lbs are so darn hard to get rid of!! I'm betting this summer with outdoor activities and Cathe, you'll lose it no prob!
I'll check out the rotations and get back to you ;).

Have a wonderful weekend ladies :)

Ok, retyping this again.
From my tweeting to the company and mentioned my blog, yes, I did apply. I know them well and respect them. They were expecting it as well. Hope to get an interview.
My workouts from the 1980s and 90s were Gin Miler (Step Reebok-the original), Jane Fonda (most of them) and CherFitness with Keli Roberts (the lingerie workout cause if you saw the outfits, you will understand) and yes, it was step and toning. Keli Roberts had her own series as well. I did some Kathy Smith and some others. The first time I saw Cathe was when she came out with her wedding workout during my divorce. Thought the routine looked good but no weddings for me. The Firm was it for me just before Cathe too.
Thank you, Natty. Your compliments mean alot to me.
For dinner, I made spaghetti with whole grain noodles and ground turkey with par cheese. estimate calories was 415 plus I don't get hungry.
Sending my website/blog to anyone whom will read it and can do something. The job reports today are bad. Things NEED to improve by the end of summer. Going to a job event on Monday in Lansing.
White tea with rasberry is great, tonight I had green tea with mixed berry from Lipton.
