I'm supposed to do Intensity today. I'm not sure if I can do that one at 7:30pm, it's really tough. Perhaps I will stop after the step portion and skip the hiit hi/low section. Bootcamp, no way!

Thought I would share a yummy snack I made. Cut up some apples in small cubes and put in a microwave safe bowl. In a separate bowl, combine oatmeal flakes, almond flour, cinnamon, stevia and coconut butter. Pour the oatmeal mixture over the apples. Cook in micro for about 1-2min. Tastes like apple crumble!!

BTW Jen are you starting STS soon? I'm sure you are feeling pretty excited about that.
 
My program ends for 6 weeks b/c of my internships I should have. When I finish LIS, I should start STS. I figure it's a workout that I can do with warm weather.

Having some family over for lunch of take-out Greek food :p

Yesterday, I bailed on Intensity. I was just too darn tired. I did however do the step portion only (no blasts) of Imax3 plus 15min of Step Moves. I just wanted to get a light w/o in without pushing myself. Today on tap is TB (again I know). Those legs lifts just make me want to scream :eek:

Hoping to do CS after I read.
Internship Interview tomorrow.
Decided to longer meet with my mentor, my other one is impossible to meet up with. Plan to give feedback on this at the end of the program.
 
Sneaking a quick post while I've got company. Natty- you have got to get Lower Body Blast! I did that one today and I forgot how much it kicks my a$$!! That is one awesome lower body workout with major cardio factor! I actually prefer this one over Butts and Guts actually. Also did STS disc 22 and Ab circuits, no equipment abs!:eek: Didn't get much housework done today though!!
 
LBB, great workout, well all of them are.
I talked to my "friend" tonight again for a couple of hours.

Last night was TB. I think I may be actually progressing without feeling like a total wimp. That has got to be the only workout that actually brings tears to my eyes. I hunch over my chair, taking a break while my muscles are about to spasm, shaking my head and laughing. If I could keep only one leg/butt workout, this is it. If Cathe does not make more Barre, it will be very disappointing.

YES, I am gonna get LBB ok, you guys, so much pressure. No, it's me that puts the pressure on myself. I love leg workouts, I love my discs, I love plyo, so I must get LBB. I'm gonna download it at 20% off this month. It's on my rotation, so I must :D Funny, Collage Vid has some bad reviews. Comparing it to B&G. I don't care, I rarely go by reviews.

No workout today. I usually take Mondays as a rest day anyway but after the marathon I did yesterday I definitely need a day off!

Sorry about the peer pressure Natty:p:eek:! Hee! Seriously, I am so in love with LBB. I hadn't done it since early January and I forgot how much I loved it. I often will just do the standing only premix when short on time and it just flows so well, plus she does sliding disc exercises! I was doing that one all the time before STS and since it's been awhile I couldn't quite make it through the standing weighted lunge section at the end...my legs started to give out:eek:!

oh Natty, I meant to comment on what you mentioned about the collage reviews of LBB too. I've noticed that my own opinion of workouts doesn't always jive with reviews on those sites. I think it has something to do with the fact that you are getting a really wide variety of people on sites like collage rather than those of us that are "cathlete's" and really big fans of her workouts. Some people may just dabble or may not be totally conditioned for Cathe style workouts and give lower ratings/reviews. I tend to find my feelings on workouts align a lot with fellow cathlete's on this forum so I've been trying to go by that. Also, I've gotten a few of the workouts (non cathe) from that site that got great, 5 star reviews only to find that I didn't like the workout AT ALL! As far as LBB, I am almost embarassed to admit, but I actually avoided buying it for a long time because of the cover. It just is not a flattering picture I'm afraid and for some stupid reason put me off.:eek:

Also, did you guys know that on Amazon.com some people are paid to give positive reviews of workouts??? I was so mad when I heard that! I'm pretty sure collage doesn't do that though...
 
Ok, you guys did it to me. I am downloading LBB today for tomorrow's w/o. Now I can join you all in loving it!!

OMG the cover!!! You crack me up! Yup, I agree, it's not the most flattering pic of Cathe. She is always pretty, but her expression and stance is kinda funny I guess. I never knew all that stuff about Amazon and Collage. Hmmm very interesting. It's so hard for me to understand how anyone can give Cathe's w/o's bad reviews. I just love her stuff so much and I love her personality. She seems very genuine and caring towards her fans. Her form is always impeccable, her queuing spot on, how she rests at just the right times, how she does not "dumb-down" the exercises. She knows they are tough, and tough gets results, but she always encourages you to work within your limits and strive for better. In my eyes, she is a perfect trainer.

You guys are right, I never really noticed but it isn't the most flattering pic of Cathe. I think she looks so cute in Imax 2 with the piggy tails. Her form is spot on and she makes almost everything look so easy. Which for me is a sign of a true professional. I actually find some of the things she does mesmerizing. Like ball exchanges, and the twisty reverse cruches with her legs in the air. I just sit and watch her in Awh.

Yesterday I did CSS with some of the step bonus - loved it. I wanted to challange myself because of the food on date night. I had a smoked duck leg with a red wine reduction on a bed of rissoto. I even ate the skin. I even had a hot cocktail in addition to my dessert. It was delicious.

Today I did STS disk 22. I am starting to think about what I want to do when this rotation is over.

Nat, you enabled me to buy a Jillian 6 week, six pack. I have never bought an exercise video other that Cathe. I got P90X free, so that doesn't count. I couldn't completely remember which ones you liked when I was at the store. It was inexpensive, so I popped.

I love B&G even more than LLB but I'm sentimental because it was my first Cathe that I purchased. I use to just do her workouts on FitTV.

Stopping by to say Hello and getting ready to do Afterburn. Another long two days coming up then next week, 2.5 days then hopefully an internship. Stress is not good.

When I look back to almost a year ago, trying this workout for the very first time, I'm reminded of how much better I am at step now. I'm so glad that I stuck with it. I got a rockin' kick-butt workout!!! My heart was in my throat.

You went out and got 6 week, 6 pack? Lol. Oh my, you're in for a treat. Just one word of advice: DO NOT go as fast when she does "double time". Well you could, I guess, but I found the moves to be very awkward and you lose form. Don't compromise good form for speed, but I'm sure you know that. I'm not sure how you are going to like Jillian since she is definitely not Cathe. You might hate her, you might like her. Let me know. Your food date night sounded amazing! Hot cocktail? Ooohhh what is that?? And dessert too? Heck ya! That's how to do it! CSS is amazing. I love that workout. Yes, what do you plan on doing after STS is over? I have 1 week to go with my rotation and already I'm wondering what the March rotation will be.

Awful night. Bella was up for a few hours with a moderately high fever. She woke up at her usual time too. I thought she would sleep in a bit :(

Today is LBB!!!!! YAY!!!! And severe LaundryMax. I waited a bit too long. Living in an apartment, it can be a pain to do. I miss my house :(

Morning ladies!
TTOTM has struck! I had a little PMS this weekend but nothing too bad but today it really hit me:(. I was planning on doing cardio...I just got Michelle Dozois More Cardio Interval Burn (from her Peak 10, I have the original CIB and like it). I got 10 minutes in and was like, ugh. It's pretty high impact and I was just not in the mood to learn a new routine and do a lot of bouncy, flouncy high impact for an entire hour. Do you guys ever get spacey and out of it during ttotm? I just cannot focus right now. So, I took that disc out and put in Jillian's 6 week 6 pack (level 2). I hadn't done that one in months and with you guys talking about that one it got me thinking I needed to pull it out. Nice 30 minute sweat, impact not too crazy and it's familiar so no learning new moves...perfect for today!! I don't know what it is about that workout but even though I'm getting more and more fit compared to when I first bought it, that one still makes me sweat like crazy! Love it! :)

Sarah that dinner sounds awesome! Good food is totally worth the calories. It's so frustrating when you take in excess calories and it wasn't totally drool worthy! Don't you just love cardio supersets with the step section? I love the LIS series so much!!
