Well I finally broke down

& ordered the stupid barbell set from Walmart. This was difficult for me b/c 1) I'd sworn I was not gonna order any new workout equipment before I moved & 2) there's not a Walmart for miles & miles near me so I had to pay as much for shipping as for the actual product.

But I am now addicted to Cathe's circuit workouts & even have some at home gathering dust b/c I don't have the stinking barbell. I must have it.

I have the same problem. I swore I wasn't going to buy any more weights before I moved either but I have to get more weights because I'm starting P90X and I know I need more.

At least you'll get to use all your workouts that were collecting dust. It'll be worth it.

On the bright side........you've just made a great investment in your body and your health. Just think of all the stupid stuff people squander their money on. At least you'll be saving money on future doctor visits and medications!! Good for you both!

Yeah, especially hauling all my exercise equipment from one house to the other. I'll do it myself b/c movers charge by weight & this stuff can fit in my little truck, I figure it'll save me some money. So just moving that stuff will give me a great total body workout! :+

Don't feel guilty about ordering them. I shudder to think how many workout dvds I could've bought for what I paid for my last pair of spring shoes!!

Did you order this online or in the store? I have been trying to find a barbell set similar to what Cathe uses and haven;t been able to find one. Also, is it a Walmart brand or some other brand?

I don't know, other than the price & that it's the one Cathe/SNM recommended. I got it from this thread:

I wish I could go & buy it in person, but the closest Walmart is at least 45 minutes away & I'd rather pay the $20 than spend 1.5 hours in my car.

Great Investment although you're trying to unload some stuff before moving. I bought mine online although there's a Walmart 5 miles away from me. Shopping at Walmart on a Saturday is crazy so it was worth it. The barbell changed my workouts for the better to a new level with Cathe. And, yes, you will get a workout when you move.
