weird clicking/movement in leg

For the past couple of weeks, I've been feeling/hearing this weird clicking in my right leg. This only happens when I jump on my right foot, so doing the genie hops in IMAX 2 for example would cause it. It also happens on lateral jumping movements like interval 6 of IMAX. It feels like something is moving in my leg, like maybe a tendon or a ligament. It seems to start around my achilles tendon and go up to the back of my knee. It doesn't hurt, but it's got me worried that I'm on the verge of an injury. I was wondering if anyone else has ever experienced anything like this and if so, is there anything that might help me?

Thanks,
Doreen

Knee clicking is quite common. My SO clicks all the time. I can always hear him coming! If you google "knee click" I'm sure you'll find a bunch of stuff about this on the internet. It's my understanding that if there is no pain, there isn't anything to worry about. But if your knees feel wierd, to be on the safe side, you might consider exercising with a knee brace for a little while. Also, stretching is very important to avoid injury.

Thanks Deana for the response - it actually doesn't seem to be in my knee itself which is what makes it so weird. It seems to be starting further down my leg..

Oh your leg! Hmmmm.... If you aren't experiencing any pain, it's most likely harmless. But you might want to get it checked out to be sure. Watch your form when doing those exercises and stretch properly.
