Weights and why not have cardio involved

Okay, you guys are so great about answering these questions for me and I so appreciate your help! In Cathe's weight workouts, she says something to the effect of not wanting to keep your heart up too long to be cardio. Now why would someone not want cardio involved in weights----does it hurt the improvements that lifting weights does to the body? Thank you!
 
If your heart rate has gone up too much and you are not in control of your breathing, you may not execute muscle building moves with correct form and could get injured. After step ups, squats, etc, moves that work the larger msucles of the body, you should get that heart rate down again before moving on. Pause it longer thn Cathe does if you ned to.
