weightloss update

A month or so ago, I posted that I had figured out my secret to success. Food journaling, eating clean and having the motivation of a great goal out in front of me had helped me lose six pounds in three weeks.

I stalled when I hit my period two weeks ago. I was ravenous and ate lots of garbage, salt and I stopped drinking enough water. I felt terrible and I gained back about two pounds.

Well, i started doing a new routine based on Lower Body Solution so I'm working my legs and doing cardio every day. it did the trick

I'm back on clean eating and I broke through my plateau. I even shed those extra pounds and one more. Now I am down 9 pounds total from when I started six weeks ago.

I have NEVER anticipated how much of an impact my period can have!! Now I have that sucker marked out on the calendar but most importantly I will be anticipating the week prior to starting!!! I'm going to be vigilant and plan ahead with mountains of clean snacks to quell the cravings.

I'm feeling great!!

Congratulations, Donna!! Not just on your weightloss (good work!), but on your outlook. I really admire that you took a negative situation, learned from it, and have taken anticipatory action to prevent it from happening again. This attitude is probably going to be your biggest asset in helping you obtain your goal.

The Lower Body Solutions is new to me, but sounds interesting. I notice that when Cathe creates a high-intensity rotation focusing on weight loss, she puts in a lot of lower body work. Using all those lower body muscles must really burn calories, hey?

Keep up the good work!

Hi Danna,

Congratulations on your successful weight loss! I attend weight watchers, and my weight goes up 3-5lbs during TTOM. It's always so discouraging-even though its usually gone by the next weeks weigh in.

Hi Danna,

Congratulations on hanging in there...not always easy, as we all know. I agree that taking a negative situation & learning from it & just starting again is the key.

As for THAT week...what a pain. All I ever want is chocolate. When I plan ahead & have not too harmful stuff available it goes ok.

Keep up the good work! You're doing great.

Ruth:)

Excellent Danna! Congratulations on hanging in there and finding a solution that works for YOU! :) :)
